Okay, most everyone knows that the upcoming dvd (and cd) are from the 2 fillmore concerts and that they picked 21 songs from their setlists to be featured on the cd. Knowing MMJ, they will feature some of the other songs on the dvd that were not included on the cd. My question to you is, pick a few of these songs that you think HAVE to be on the DVD. Also, include reasons why you think these 2 or 3 songs are imperative. The setlists are below my answer.
My answers:
[glb]The Bear [/glb](the song is freaking amazing...need I say more)
[glb]Into the Woods [/glb](even though Z is over-represented on the disc already, this song inspired the whole concert motife so it has to be included!) [glb]Picture of You[/glb] (I have always wanted to see the "Sorry again..." part live...plus TTF needs to be better represented)
Songs not included on CD in bold.

Well, I would personally love for "Sooner" to be on it, but I'm sure there was a good reason why some of the songs are missing.
Maybe there wasn't a good take of that particular song? It's entirely possible. It looks like "Sooner" was only played at one of the shows, as was "The Bear" unless I overlooked it.
I made a similar post on a different thread. Cheers!
This old fella would love to see Bermuda Highway live. They did it twice so they have plenty to chose from.
Where To Begin
The Dark
How Do You Know?
my picks:
Where to Begin
Bermuda Highway
O!
How Do you know
Strangulation
I'm not a big fan of concert dvd's that pull stuff from different shows, I would much rather see a single show in it's full glory with mess ups and all. I'm the same way with live cd's and records. It really irretates me when bands try and pick and choose from diffrent shows. So my answer to the question is.........it should be two dvd's with both nights start to finish.
Sooner
The Bear
How do You Know
Strangulation
and by the way...IT"S CALLED THE DARK!!
Quotemy picks:
Where to Begin
Bermuda Highway
O!
How Do you know
Strangulation
O is on the cd.
These should have definitely been included:
war begun
picture of you
into the woods (featuring the all-male chorus)
Great minds think alike nikkogino!
Though I read and value the many opinions I sort of see it this way concerning MMJ music.
Jim is like a doctor.
Is there a doctor in the house? Rhetorical question answer-no-. So, the doctor will decide the songs because it is in our best interest.
I may not like all of Z, but the band knows best. I am only along for the ride.
From the muppet show wasn't there a doctor teeth musician?
What I get on the 26th will be great.
Billo
Well, during Jim's last solo performance, he decided that Sweatboard knew best, and played Picture of You. ;)
Yeah, all requests need to be cleared with me first and then I'll see what I can do. :-*
Jokes aren't very funny when you can't even get the facts straight. I meant I needed it most not Picture of You.
