Hey guys, here's the deal:
You get the limited 'Acoustic Chorale' DVD EP when you buy the Okonokos DVD at selected indie stores.
Check these links for all locations:

http://www.thealliancerocks.com/
The DVD is very limited so be there on street date.
Some shops also have on-line stores so maybe you can email them and see if they send it along with online orders too. I do know that Ear X-tacy in Louisville ships around the world.
Thanks Riny! No Illinois stores, looks like I might have to call in a Jacket favor! ;D
updated the 1st post with 2 more links.
So... what about the people who don't know about this Acoustic Chorale thing, and buy the DVD from the MMJ Store? All they get is a one-track video sample? What is that supposed to do, encourage them to go out and buy the DVD a second time from a different source?
I guess the question I'm really wondering is... will the MMJ store ever offer up the Acoustic Chorale for sale, as a follow up to their teasing people with the single video? In other words, do you guys want my money, or not?
I don't want to sound like a jerk about this, and I'm sorry if I do, because my intentions are for the best... I'd just like more opportunities to order stuff from the Official Store and less reasons to be calling my buddies in for favors for bootlegged copies.
Do you guys know what I'm saying?
Unless the Acoustic Chorale will be avaliable from the Official Store, I guess I'll just place a pre-order with Ear X-Tacy... might as well toss in my pre-order for the vinyl, too.
I know exactly what you are saying. The whole thing seems a little shortsighted. This thing will bootlegged for sure if it isn't made available for fans via another source than one of these stores.
Yeah, ordering from Ear X-Tacy sounds like the way to go. They do these extra little ep's etc. at independent music stores to encourage people to support them. So the intention is good. If you want it bad enough you'll be able to get it. In the meantime we need to do as much to support these music stores as we can, the prices are ten times better than places like cat's and sam goody, and the selection is infinatly better.
Looks like I'll be making a trip up to Louisville soon.
I feel like I'm going to be making a pilgrimage or something.
You may not have to make any pilgramages... I'm pretty sure you can order from their website. I've e-mailed them asking about that, just in case, I should get a response pretty soon.
thank you for the info. i don't know if there are any on the list close to me at all though so i hope i can order it from someone!

Please let us know when you do...I understand this is a Limited Edition and what that means but it seems to me that we should be able to at least attempt to order it from MMJ's own website other than an indie store, either online or in person.
There's always Ebay...lol.
I knew my local indie store was a part of some allaince. Music moniter network, inperticualr. ;D
Great, thanks for the info. A little late for those of us who react knee-jerkingly a few minutes after we get the email asking us to pre-order products from the "official" outlet. I'd be glad to support those independent places, but I don't think I'll buy it twice, as angryewok pointedly points out. :(
awesome. i knew Grimey's had to have this thing somehow. Guess I know where I'm headed the second after French lets out on Tuesday.
there are several threads on this. i still haven't fully comprehended what is going on but i gotta get my hand on this.
I e-mailed Easy Street Records in Seattle (I live in Chicagoland) about this and I got a quick reply saying they'd let me know when they got it in so I could place my order. So...it sounds like they'll send it out with online orders. Just e-mail and ask them about it.

Yeah, something tells me I might be skipping my Women's History class that day...
I could just order it online, but something about actually purchasing things at a music store makes me happy. It's a bit of adventure in my otherwise dull life.

Yeah, I get all excited about doing that as well.
Has anyone successfully ordered a copy online yet?
I used the links provided & tried all of the indie record stores listed (inc. Ear X-tacy) but have had no luck.
