^^if you haven't checked it out i definatly would ^^

Any of u dig? I really love it. It'd be cool if he had some sweet singing cameo in an MMJ song. Ferris Wheel Song is really beautiful, i especially dig that one.

Yeah, well I've been listening to Carl's music since way before he was even in MMJ and if you all were "REALLY" fans you would have to.  His first "7 recorded in his grandmothers bathroom in Queens is some of the best shit I have ever heard in my entire life, you can't miss it.

Seriously though, someone started a thread about his music a while back.  It is really good.  I'm glad Carl has started singing with Jim a little more.  His vocals on "A Quick One" at Bonnaroo were spot on baby.

Yeah, and when I say 7" I'm not talking about Vinyl either.  That's right, and I own a recording of that monster.

thanks for checking out http://www.musicalfamilytree.com
Carl just created a My Space page as well with some new songs. You can check them out here-

I've loved his solo stuff from the moment I heard it. You should also listen to Old Pike, Planet Earth and Pony Boy on MFT if you are into his stuff. But his solo recordings are the best in my opinion.

Wow this is cool. MMJ seems like a supergroup all of a sudden. I wonder if Carl and Jim will collaborate more on the next album.

yvon, you're an incredible traveler! A six 7 hour drive is keeping me from the free wax fang show in Atlanta tonight... I suck!

it is so much easier to travel to see a show than to see one close to home.  i drove by a venue last night and still decided not to see the show i'd planned to see.  i can be a lazy bastard.   ;D

Hey Kory, before you get a wild hair up your ass and decide to make the trip, I hope you Know they had to cancel.

Oh yay! I thought I'd never hear this again.
I saw Carl play "Enough for Tonight" and one other song in a tiny room at Mama Buzz cafe in Oakland the night after the New Years show. We were there with my friend Greg, who was playing that night with some other people.
My boyfriend was like, "Go inside and tell me if that's MMJ's guitar player sitting at the counter". And it was Carl! So since I haven't bothered any of them the other times I've been ten feet away (and cause I may have had a little liquid courage in my system), I went over and told him "Amazing show last night". At that point I thought that was about it, but a little later his friend who was playing gave up his spot long enough for Carl to play two songs. It was such an unexpected suprise, and after such a great New Years show! What luck! The "Enough" song stuck out to me and I'm so glad to get to hear it again.
Thanks Paauwe!

Carl sent us some different mixes and new versions and we re-posted his album "Lose What's Left" on http://musicalfamilytree.com
check it out here
http://musicalfamilytree.com/bands/carl_broemel
Also, you can download his new track "Carried Away" for a limited time on
http://myoldkyhome.blogspot.com/
If you live in Indy there will be free CDs given away by Hot Box Pizza in Broad Ripple with 4 songs by each artist playing the show at Spin on February 23rd, including 4 by Carl. They were kind enough to pay for pressing them to help promote the show and turn people on to the music. They won't be sold anywhere, just given away as promos.
Hope to see you there on the 23rd.

Thanks for the update MusicalFamily!
I plan on making it up for the show on the 23rd...

What tracks are on that sampler, being down in the southern part of the state, I won't be getting to a Hot Box Pizza anytime soon.
