Title: Rolling Stone sessions CD
Post by: corey on Feb 13, 2007, 02:16 AM
So.... I stumbled upon this on the pink pig tonight. I looked around and didn't see it mentioned here. Why has this not popped up yet?

It has Golden, Master Plan, and Steam Engine.

The seeder said that it's from a promo CD. I've seen the footage online, but never seen the mp3s available until now.

Sweet.  I've always wanted a mp3 of that Steam Engine.  I actually got one at some point but the sound was less than stellar.

Thanks corey for the heads up over there, it's been a while since I checked the pig for weird mmj stuff. I downloaded it and here is a sendspace link. I also PMd the guy that put it up asking for scans and whatnot. We'll see if he comes through...

If anyone needs an invite as well, shoot me a pm.

Beautiful stuff here... What year is this?

The Steam Engine is perfect.

I'm pretty sure it was 2003 because it was around the time of the release of It Still Moves.  I was looking for an exact date but I don't think I'm going to get it.  There videos of these out there somewhere, including a short interview.

I can't even begin to explain how savefile organizes the files you upload... just look for the file type you want to download.

On the page below is the Rolling Stone EP in Flac, Mp3 and M4a Video format.
There is also the cover art and the flac fingerprint file. Enjoy gang!

Thanks for the extra effort to do the flacs man!  The moment I first saw the RS Steam Engine Video was the moment that I went from huge fan to rediculously over the top Jacket Addict.  To finally have a top quality audio rip that I can listen to in my car on eleven is a special moment for me.  Thanks again.

i've been searching for this for a long time now, i think this stands as one of the definitive performance of steam engine so far, right up there with Bonnaroo 2004.

Man, I'm sure glad I checked this thread!  I had gotten the mp4s of these awhile back, and was finally able to convert em to mp3.  I had no idea there was artwork for it, until now.  I snatched that up, and stuck it in iTunes.  All 3 of these tracks are unbelievebly awesome!    8-)

you could have just stuck the acc files in itunes instead of converting them if that's the player you always use. Now that you converted them you lost some quality by means of transcoding. Just letting you know.

If anybody uses rhapsody to download music, it has some video of Jim doing these songs, among some other vids.  It has all their albums, singles, and also the albums in which they appear (soundtracks, compilations etc) listed.  just official releases

Pretty sure this wasn't ever released as audio until some enterprising soul ripped the audio from the video clips.  Here are the RS Session audio files, in mp3 format:

01 Golden, 02 Master Plan, 03 Steam Engine (http://www.mediafire.com/?4yulxhhkahk15yp)

Here's what I have for video.

Jim James does MMJ for Rolling Stone (http://www.mediafire.com/?hc7sfgtdbuv52vd)
