"from nashville to kentucky, my heart it draws the line,
somewhere someone thinks of me, i just wish it was somewhere i could find.
TAKE ME OUT of this dead-end nightmare. TAKE ME OUT of this hell im in.
TAKE ME OUT of this dead end nightmare, and put me back in a world i can live."
listening to this (from the Top 40 hits!!!) right now at 1:00 in the morning.....a glass of wine...sorrows.......sadness....
and somehow Jim makes it all just right....
how can he do this? where did he get this power????
i am forever grateful.........................
Jim's lyrics, melodies, everything he does puts me in a good mood. I wish I had his talent.

I feel the same way. That's probably just about my favorite track off TTF. Love the lyrics. I wish they could somehow get this.....I don't know, low-key?.....again......at least occasionally.
Great fucking song. :'(
That version just might be my favorite track from Jim's solo stuff. How can you not get all tingly inside when he does the TAKE ME OUT part? I can't not squint my eyes and feeeel the pain and sing!
Honestly I didn't care for this song until I heard them play it at the Ryman Auditorium. When Jim started singing it sent chills down my spine. I don't think I have ever been so moved at a concert before. Maybe it being at the Ryman added some mystic to it but now it's one of my favorite MMJ songs.
hey does everybody remember tom eisenbraun's SICK guitar solo to our version of this song? i do. now where is that dang thing.
