I watched Elizabethtown again the other day and thought that it would be cool to have "Freebird," the Ruckus version in an audio format. Since it is terribly faux pas to ask anyone to perform it, I feel this is the closest to hearing the Jacket wail away on it. Any ideas?
There is a full audio version out there. They released it as a promotional disc.
Unfortunately, I do not have a copy. It is a holy grail of sorts of mine as it may be the only officially released track that I don't have (although whether or not it's an actual "release" is debatable.

Thanks, aMillion! It looks like we are officially chasing the Unicorn together.
anybody got a copy of this? this would be 'neat' to add to the collection!
Best of luck guys and keep me informed...I actually spent about 5 hours one afternoon searching all over the internet for more info. This would be amazing.
how is it that this forum does not have a copy of this? hopefully it will rear its head soon!
I've been trying to track down Epichord, Freebird, and How Do You Know (Okonokos, iTunes Exclusive) off and on for a freakin' year or two.

Misfits cover, haven't heard their version.
yeah, i'd say it's worth getting. if you're a misfits fan i'd say definitely. the jacket track and the slow break's version of attitude are the highlights.
You're welcome. ;)
Thanks for the head's up on these two... I guess I just assumed the Louisville Lovers was so old it would have been long sold out. Never even heard of the Misfits cover album, and I'm not familiar with any Misfits material, but I went ahead and bought 'em both.
I'll bump this and let you guys know if I think the two tracks were worth $12 each.
;D
i'll let you know right now that epichord is probably not worth the 12 bucks unless you're a completist, so for you it probably will be.
It'll really have to rock or swoon for me to be glad I spent $12 on it, but hey, at least I'll be able to warn everyone else if it does suck.
...and then there's the whole OCD completest thing.
it's an omnichord instrumental. :-/
Thanks for the heads up. What's the song length, by the way?
right around 2 minutes if I remember correctly.
Thanks, guys.
As promised...
1) Epichord is sweet. Instantaneous 5 stars on the iPod...
2) I'll need some time to care about Hollywood Babylon. Wasn't feeling it.

I've also grown to dig epichord! I think you will like Hollywood Babylon with some time. It's kind of got a rough production to it, but it goes well with the type of song I think. Pretty cool package it comes in don't you think? You could put 356/20,000,000 on something and I would still think it was twice as cool. :)
Yeah, both of these are packaged really beautifully. I'm sorry I didn't buy them sooner... the omnichord tune is so cheerful and pleasant - what a great pick-me-up from all of the bullshit that has invaded our little community.
P.S. I don't know who One Small Step is, but I'm totally diggin' their track. Takes me back to the glory days of Smashing Pumpkins, for some reason.
