Title: Patrick Hallahan Appreciation
Post by: Clarkwork on Jun 05, 2008, 07:41 AM
I think his drumming has gotten better and better.  He is amazing.  Listen to EU with earphones on and just pay attention to all the stuff he is doing.

Especially on Smokin at the end.  He starts crashing the tom toms like a mad man and it adds so much to the song.  I really think he is one of the best drummers out there right now!

i don't even want to talk about how much i've been listening to the drum parts from evil urges.  i want a separate mix of only drums.  i want that with an added bonus of a 45 minute long run thru breakdown.  i want to walk down the streets with p's beatz in my ears.  walk... nay.  STRUT

Not that I'm biased or anything...but Patrick's drumming has been Bonham-esque since I can remember.  A unique and urgent force of nature, his mad skillz just refine and polish with time.

I listened to the myspace page.  Never downloaded it and would never do that.

I agree.  I play drums some and think he is the best out there.  Have always loved to watch his style.  He's a monster.  He's why I started listening when I saw him play on Conan, OBH.

I think he's the best out there right now, too.  Definitely need to give him some a LOT of alone time on the stage for some BA drum soloing.
