Title: Harmony and bass
Post by: freeport on Jun 26, 2008, 05:19 PM
These aspects of the band's music are starting to shine through/improve. One thing I've noticed about the old lineups was the lack of harmony. Songs like Just Because I Do were so empty without the harmony you here on the record. I would love to hear this one live now with Bo and Carl tearing up the BGV's.

Tommy's bass is alos really standing out, plus his lines are tasty. Evil Urges for example has some sweet playing. I could hear everything he played at Roo and it was funktastic...maybe due to all the funk songs, but still... ;)

I'd love to hear more older material played now to hear what new harmonies they would add.

....I really want to hear Heartbreakin' Man.....that beginning part with harmonies would be amazing....

....speaking of that song, it is like the most "shoe gaze" MMJ ever got, no?.....

It's hard to beat the harmonies on Tenn Fire.
