Title: Alabama Come Clean
Post by: TheRoof on Jun 19, 2008, 04:37 PM
Does anyone know anything (lyrics, etc)  regarding this song on the Tennessee Fire LP?

Or 'Mediate, try not to hate, love yer male, like sex on 8'   on the At Dawn Lp?

Or 'Breathin' on Run Thru Lp?

I have to reorder a stylus/needle for my player and it's driving me insane not being able to hear these!!!!

Any insight is appreciated!

The mediate line is from a song called "Mediate" by INXS on the album "Kick".  I wore out that cassette in elementary school. ;D

Alabama Come Clean is the instrumental 'hidden' track at the end of The Tennessee Fire.

Mediate etc. I always thought is just a joke scribbled on the LP label, but could also be the title of the (again) instrumental 'hidden' track that ends At Dawn.

Breathin' is a sort-of-experimental lo-fi demo from Jim, very comparable to a song like Somebody Cares About The Maestro.

Rare and out of print? Delete the link if I'm wrong, Sir. Rines, but I can't see any reason why this wouldn't be cool if it is indeed as rare as I think it is...

Only vaguely similar to the Maestro, I'd say. Those two are probably my favorite two non-album tracks, though.

I love the weirder songs buried in the catalog. Epichord isn't too far of a depature from Alabama Come Clean. Much recommended.

I wouldn't. John King still has the disc in stock and needs the money...

for mass appeal, there's even a Will Oldham tune.

Oh no, I didn't mean to do any damage there! Don't share that shit! Should I take down "Breathin'"?

No damage done, Breathin' is only on that Run Thru single so I don't see a huge issue with that one. I am just overprotective of Mr. John King (louisvilleisforlovers). He does so much around the city and with some of the tracks on these comps he does and the fact he only presses 500 each year, I understand how he still has copies left.
