I heard Palahniuk was on set quite a bit, like he was during the filming of Fight Club and he said he thought the movie (FC) was better than the book. I realize this isn't a David Fincher film, but I bet it will do the book justice. I expect it to be good...but cult nonetheless.
I have had this book on my todo list but looks like the movie will just be easier to get done... I'm a slow reader.
I read Fight Club after watching the movie 12 times... I think i liked the book more but wish I would have got to visualize the characters myself before the movie.
I'm not much of a reader but held off watching into the wild until after I read the book and it was great that way.

I got to see a preview screening of this film and its awesome. Definitely the purists will have critiques but its a funny, moving, weird, quirky movie.

...I love that book so much, I am so happy they used that song instead of a really "popular" one or a song you would have heard on the radio or something, excellent choice....who knows who will hear it in the movie and get turned onto the band....awesome....and I love the Clap Your Hands Say Yeah song.....now I actually have a movie to look forward to, lets hope they stay to the story in the book, because Fight Club the movie really kind of misses the whole point that the book gets across I feel like....
