Download this...... it's called Switch and it will convert just about anything into MP3 or WAV format.  There's newer versions than this one, but they've got a lot of limitations and restrictions.  I'm no computer whiz, so there could be better software out there that I just don't know of..... but this one has always worked just fine for me, and it's pretty easy to use.

Or, just burn it to a CD.  Then put it back on your computer from the CD.

There is a much easier way.

1. In iTunes, highlight the song/songs you want to convert.
2. Go to the "Advanced" drop down menu.
3. Select "Create MP3 version"

That doesn't work with songs downloaded from Itunes, only with stuff you have put on from other sources.  Well, at least it didn't work in the past, maybe now that they are DRM free, it will work.

Be aware that converting/reripping files always results in a slight loss in quality.

Yes It works now since its DRM free. Just tried it to double checked and it worked fine.

You will lose some quality. Not enough to notice on MP3 player headphones though.
