I've been cruising archive for shows and of course these songs pop up a few times in various sets. So far I think they only are in the same set for 3 shows total, and I downloaded one from Oct 25, 2001.
I have never seen these two songs live (that I remember), so I'm looking to get the best experience of both.
What are the best live versions of each according to the forum's encyclopedic knowledge? You don't have to link me if you're lazy, I'm just looking for dates to pull of bt.etree or Archive (usually the same thing, but not always).

Thanks. I'll tinker with them if they don't come out loud enough through the ol' pod.
I think the War Begun from Nashville is unbelievable of course.

As far as Strangulation, check out this one. It is pretty good in my opinion. I think it has the intimacy factor.

yes! who could forget those fireworks?
The War Begun from the demos package is great. It's from 10-27-00.

Yeah, I really love Tommy's playing in that one. He really takes the bass line for a walk...or a canter...

There is one on YouTube at Stubb's (I believe; it's an older show). It was pretty good. It is red all around if I remember correctly.

I concur.

I concur...er. My favorite.
I agree, there is something about the Tennessee Fire/At Dawn Demos War Begun that makes my hair stand on end. Especially when I kick the volume to 11 :D ! The Red Rocks 8/21 is good, but I felt it sounded eerily similar to the demos package version considering there are almost eight years separating the two.
I'm quite fond of the Tucson 9/24/08 War Begun...
