Sort of off topic, and maybe this has been covered already, but how was album recorded? It has that very distinct 90s flavor, not the stylings of the music so much as the atmosphere created by the songs.

It sounds pretty analog, and it doesn't even sound like the vocals are mic'd. Do we have any back story on it aside from the decade long gap?
