It's definitely my favorite out of the three, which isn't surprising since YY produces my favorite sounds out of them.
It literally took me about through his first round of bada-ba-bee-bada-bas before I was bobbin' my head and believing it to be a winner in my book.
The lyrics are also terrific. YY has been grapplin' with the subject of religion - as most of us do - for quite awhile. This was great in expressing the struggle. Having gone through a similar struggle in my life, eventually concluding that I don't think there's such a thing as God, I can greatly relate to the conflicts sung in Dear God.
Good stuff.
I wonder if they each wrote their own lyrics to the parts they sing.

this song is gorgeous, just gorgeous. jim's having a harder time cloaking his curtis mayfield influence, and we're all benefiting from it. i've said this before of jeff tweedy, but i thank the lord that i'm alive at a time when jim james is making music.
