This is similar to a "what's that instrument" type thing, but not.

In Wordless Chorus, there is a "flubber" sound during the wordless chorus. Is that Tommy beating on his bass like in Beats 4 U, or is that Patrick's drumming? Or is it a synth drum effect?

I believe it's Patrick doing the John Bonham heel to toe bass drum technique. There's also some other cool drum sounds on the Z version if you listen closely.

Yeah the Z version is what I was listening to. This time of year is always a Z time of year for me
