I think it's Jim too.  If it were someone else it certainly would be a first for MMJ recordings, as far as I know.

I think the song is great!  Difficult to explain, but perfect for the comp, which is totally worth the money, by the way.  Everyone ought to order it from Ear Xtacy!

The song by The Fervor and the Ben Sollee song are both amazing!    I need to learn more about the Fervor.

The Fervor is great! Cheyenne Mize which you may know from the Will Oldham record and Arnette Hollow is in that band as well.

My guess is that it's either Bo or Carl.  Both have been known to sing high-end back up (Tyrone) and rumor has it that Carl was hired, not only because he's a perfectly awesome multi-intrumentalist, but that his voice has so many similarities to Yim's.

I'm still pretty sure it's Jim.  My guess is that Jim did this entire track by himself.  You can just tell by the style.

Does anyone track and layer vocals better than Jim.  Every time I listen to this song it amazes me even more.  The triangle at the end cracks me up too.

to be honest, for reasons of sound quality, i don't buy music digitally as a rule.  i purchase physical copies when available and the last time i passed through Louisville was on the way back from my wedding last fall.  don't know when i will again though.

thanks for the suggestion though.

Tried to find this cd for a while and finally found it on the internet and bought it. Good listening. These louisville is for lovers cds are pretty awesome. I agree with BH, this song is layered very well. Especially with the vocals.
