Where is this song from? I heard it last night and I really enjoyed it. I don't see it in my collection anywhere, so can anyone send me in the right direction? Thanks :)
It has not been recorded in studio yet. Only lots of great live recordings....
This is from the 2010 Nashville sound check party. I was not invited, but they let me in later in the evening.

atomicpunk...that was such a sweet "Wonderful" last night. The lyrics of this song with JJ's voice pushed me to the brink of tears. Such a moving message...

I still don't understand this fact...it deserves to be released.

It was really great! I was sitting up on the hill on my friend's sweater because my back pain had me on the brink of tears plus I felt shitty from the stomach bug I had been battling. Just couldn't really stand up anymore.
I felt a lot better after hearing the song, though! I liked the new song they did too!
this truly is a beautiful, beautiful song. the lyric "took a long time to get here but if it would have been easy i would not have cared" really resonates with me. and the rest of it is soothing & pleasant and makes ME feel wonderful. i get a lump in my throat & chills every time i hear it. i've been blessed to have been at a few shows now where they played it & every time, i've welled up.

Ah, you too? I thought I was special (though I did notice a few other people).
It was first played, I believe, in a JJ solo set in 2007. It got heavy play during the Monsters of Folk tour, too. I'm guessing its destined for the Yim Yames solo album he keeps promising on his website ("Full length solo record coming soon").

No kidding! I saw those other people, too...
I was thinking it had a good chance to be on the next Jacket album, but based on everything thats been coming out about the album from the band and others, Im thinking it probably wont be on it.
The earliest version I have, from 2007 (maybe I should post this show again?). EDIT: Done. See below.

this song is the new "golden". I can see this being in some commercial for a travel agency.
Anyone who can listen to this song as well as Hopefully, I Will Be There When You Die, and Golden and not get emotional has no soul. So glad to see a new song released that has the feeling of older material.
Saw this in Chicago on Halloween's Eve. Monsters of Folking Fantastic.
One of those songs where you feel like you've heard it before in your dreams because everyone was singing the chorus like a choir. Plus that fact that M. Ward was two-toning the bass and sang some humble, baritone backup with Mike Mogis bashing our subconscious with some subliminal spanish-style riffs lingering in the distance made my night and day.
Cannot wait til that song seeps into more people's brain.

Thanks for posting that. I was at that show also. That venue had the best acoustics of any show I had ever been to. They sounded amazing.
