Hey here's a quick review of the band with the Foo Fighters at the Hammerstein Ballroom from the New York Times..
"My Morning Jacket, the opening band, maneuvered its guitars more strategically. Its songs were as much about evolving textures as they were about the long-suffering verses Jim James sang in his plaintive Neil Young tenor. The band's two guitarists strummed like 1970's soft rockers, bore down on garage-rock riffs, spun fine meshes of fingerpicking and ascended to power-chorded peaks worthy of the Who. The songs slowly gathered and then broke like thunderheads, exulting in sonority."
