GLI honors local organizations at annual meeting

At its annual meeting on Tuesday evening, Greater Louisville Inc. presented its Silver Fleur de Lis awards, which recognizes leadership and dedication to the community, to Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana, the Arena Task Force, GLI's Total Resource Campaign, General Electric Co., the Muhammad Ali Center, the Association of the United States Army CORE Committee, and the City of Parks initiative.

GLI's Thomas A. Edison award was given to local band My Morning Jacket for "personal and professional successes and serving as an ambassador for Louisville," according to a news release.
