Title: taping policy?
Post by: dmaster on Dec 21, 2003, 01:55 PM
I did a quick search and didnt come up with anything too useful, so does anyone know for sure if the band allows taping?

If they do, anyone know if there's a chance of a soundboard hookup?

I'm going to the knoxville show, probably atlanta too and would love to tape the band if they're okay with it.   Any help would be super, if there's an official policy posted somewhere that'd be great too.

Send an email to the honourable Mr John Connaway and he'll help you along. You can find his address on the forum.

the band is usually ok with audience recordings for personal use... mic stands are usually fine, as long as the venue does not have a problem... and you shouldn't block the view of the sound or lighting guys... try to set up next to the soundboard instead of infront of it... as far as i know, they usually don't allow soundboard recordings.

Since you're in the Southeast, obviously, you might want to try to make the Birmingham show. I know the venue there is cool with taping.
