Just wondering if anyone else caught the reference to MMJ on Sportscenter tonight...

"What lead singer Jim James is to My Morning Jacket, Pittsnoggle is to Western Virginia"

I know it's not a huge deal but I thought it was kinda  8)

No way!  That's really cool.  I wish I would have seen that.  Do you remember which anchor it was?

I heard that too.  I thought I was hallucinating, but I saw it again on the next time through.  I'm pretty sure it was John Anderson who made the reference.

I saw it too.  They said it on the sportscenter that they rerun over and over again beginning late and going into the morning and afternoon of the next day.  I couldn't believe it!  To me, being a sportscenter reference is a way bigger deal than being in Rolling Stone or on the cover of any indie music rag.  And on the same day they were on primetime network television!  Anyone watch Leno, maybe he cracked a Jim James joke.  Congrats to the boys.

It probably was John Buccigross, or John Anderson.  They are both doing stuff like that all the time.
