Methinks a trip to my forefather's homeland (in conjunction with an MMJ show, of course) should be in order!

Yeah, in my dreams.  Good news for Irish fans, tho.

It still loves?

Will they play a lot of songs of this new album in Ireland?

Well I certainly hope they pop over to the rest of Europe.

It Still Loves was actually the name of the record the bear on the cover of It Still Moves recorded before his untimely demise.  Since the bear's name was Paddy Jim James decided as a tribute to the lovely bear that graces the cover of thier new album that he would perform It Still Loves in it's entirety.  I hope someone has the tapes rolling.

No, no protection needed.  Ireland and Dublin are lovely places.  I had bad experiences with Temple Bar, though.  When I was there ('99), it was a really trendy place to be.  I just wanted to enjoy some pints, but I wasn't dressed fancy enough to be let into some of the bars there.

Im flying in from England...im on my own personal MMJ world tour at the moment...This year i have seen them in London 3 times, including Jim Solo,Reading,New York twice, Amsterdam and Manchester a few weeks ago.I would travel the earth to see this band...its like getting a fix. Theres just something about MMJ live that makes me chill,go mental...almost cry, all in the space of a couple of hours and believe me ive seen alot of bands including Nirvana,Velvet Underground in 93,Sonic Youth,Bob Dylan,White Stripes,Verve in 92,93 theres too many to go on.You can also forget your troubles and outside influences for a while and just get wrapped up in the music. I usually go to the gigs with my brother and a few friends. I have managed to turn all my friends into diehard fans...including my Dad. At the moment there is 5 of us going to the gig in Dublin and to do a bit of sightseeing/Drinking. Where flying in on the Saturday and leaving on the Monday. If you wanna meet up for a Guinness that would be cool. What is the Temple Bar like? is it small?Im going to the gig at the Astoria in London, 2 nights before this gig and that will be pretty big as the Astoria holds a few thousand. The guys deserve huge crowds, but im always gonna crave the smaller venues.Hey how about MMJ starting up a loyalty scheme (for all us worldwide travellers)in case they get so huge, we will never be able to get a ticket again...HAHAHAHA.i WANT THIS BAND TO GO TROUGH THE ROOF.just remember us little guys ;D
We'll im off to see the Libertines again tonight.yetanother top live show...see ya and be happy.

I didn't know what to expect last night but halfway through I turned to my friend who came with me and declared it to be the best gig I have ever been to. The band were SO enthusiastic about the music. When Jim James played two acoustic numbers for the encore you could have heard a pin drop - that audience was in the palm of his hand. I left with a huge grin on my face and a spring in my step. Hell, I even bought a T-shirt!

Did anyone get a set list?

It was so great, wasn't it. So uplifting, so emotional, so satisfying, so beautiful. I'm so glad they came over. I was talking to Karl (Carl?) the new guitarist afterwards and he said they were blown away by the reaction from the crowd. It's good to know that they enjoyed it too - especially since Jim (the singer) had been feeling really sick all day and was only planning to do one acoustic number. I wish I could see them play every week.

Didn't realise Jim had been sick and was wondering what he meant by having a really bad day. Good crowd at the gig even though it was so badly publicised by the Irish media (Tom Dunne take note).
The respect given to an acoustic 'Golden' was amazing and the band did seem genuinely taken aback by the crowd reaction. Also great to see a band hang around after to meet the fans. Maybe next time include a trip to Cork?

Great pictures from the Music Centre gig. I hadn't noticed the barefootedness on the night. What a great gig.... Aghhhh! I want to see them again!

Going to the Rapture tonight... it will be very different, but really good too I hope.
