I'm haven't heard a lot of My Morning Jacket, but what I've heard I like a lot. I wanted to go to the show at the Metro. There is another concert on the same night however. The other concert is a band that was my favorite for about a year but I dont really enjoy them anymore. But, if I go to the MMJ show, I would have to go by myself because none of my friends appreciate them. At the other concert some of my friends will be there. I just wanted to hear some opinions on what I should do. Thanks.
I suggest you go see MMJ,it may change your life. ;)
Your friends will just miss out and you can brag to them how good MMJ are.
definitely the mmj show. it is something you don't want to miss. i will be there at the metro, and after some hard fought battles, I have convinced some of my friends who have never heard them to go as well. I am sure you can recruit someone to go. what other band is playing?
Definately see MMJ. You've already said you don't enjoy the other band any more. Would one of your friends go with you? If not, I wouldn't worry about going on your own. MMJ fans are, by definition, friendly, welcoming people.
You've enjoyed the CDs, but the live shows are just something else. Enjoy yourself whatever you decide 8)

DEFINITELY MMJ all the way! You will love the live presentation of their material plus they're wicked tight playing live! Don't miss out--you may kick yourself later. P.S.--take a friend they won't be disappointed and you may make a new fan for this excellent band!
I'd suggest MMJ as well, but I do admit it kinda depends on what the other band is.
You should goto the Metro...even if it is by yourself...the show will be there and MMJ fans unlike most Rock n Roll shows have suprisingly friendly crowds. You're more than welcome to say hi to my friend scott and I. We will be by the board taping. He'll undoubtedly be wearing a hat. Hope to see you there.
I think you should see the MMJ show. Their live shows are incredible. If you like their music, you will love them live. They put so much energy and soul into their performance. You won't regret it. Try and talk a friend into going, it's always fun to open someone's eyes to a great band. If you end up going by yourself, don't fret, you might meet some cool people at the show. Have Fun!
I would DEFINITELY go see MMJ. I saw them last night in St. Louis for the first time and it was without question one of the best rock shows i have ever seen. I am still reeling, I just can't get over it, jim james and co. melted my face off. You won't regret seeing them, i promise.
