If you just want the MMJ show, it is $16 at Ear Xtacy.  Lebowskifest tickets are $23, and gets you into the Saturday aftenoon concerts and the Saturday night bowling/dude fest.

Ticketweb.com has them for $15, but I do not know what the additional fee is.

I'm driving up from Alabama with several of my friends for this show/festival. The Big Lebowski is my favorite movie and My Morning Jacket is my favorite band, so this works out quite nicely for me. I can't wait.

Bought some @ Ear X-tacy yesterday.  They were sold out of Saturday tickets, and almost out of Friday's, and the guy I talked to didn't know if they were getting anymore.

Hey all. Several good things to report about the show last night.

First off, KC Guetig, the drummer before Patrick, was there hanging with the band and he got to go onstage and introduce the Jacket for what turned into a Louisville Lovefest. Danny Cash, former keys man, was hanging out around the sound board much of the evening. It was great to see everybody happy and making nice.

The set featured a disco-funk interlude with How Do You Know/Cobra.  The flying V was only out for a few songs and they didn't throw all the rockers together for the earthshaking jam that I was hoping for (will they ever put It's About Twilight Now & The Dark together again?), but it was still great to see them mix up the set.  The weather cooperated until a couple of light sprinkles arrived in the middle of the movie they showed after the band finished.

It was a great evening on the banks of the Ohio River. Absolutely spectacular venue if the weather cooperates like last night.  Just too few toilets and concession stands for several thousand people. What were they thinking? The lines were quite long.

The show was awesome. The venue was cool and the performance was great. They didn't play as long as they did for the two Louisville shows last fall, but it was still 2 hours. Yeah, the magic moment was when the fireworks went off during Cobra. "Look at the fireworks everybody! They're just for you!"

I'm going to try and write a setlist, but this is all from memory and not a very good memory either, so the order is not right, but I think i got all the songs:

lebowski intro
golden
lowdown
just one thing
the way that he sings
it beats for you (new)
how do you know
o is the one that's real
one big holiday
i will sing you songs
cobra
dancefloors
mahgeetah
strangulation

encore:
at dawn
steam engine
run thru

None from Tennessee Fire. At least they played quite a bit of that record at the two shows last fall. O is the one that's real was really great to hear live.

Amazing band. I go into intense mmj obsessions after I see them live.

Thanks for the reviews! It's so good to know that intense MMJ obsessions are normal...or are they?

It's been one month exaxctly since I saw them in Chicago, and every day the obsession intensifies. I'm completely going with it!!  ;D

This was my first time seeing the band live. I managed to miss 2 Bonnaroo sets from these guys that were both well reviewed. It was long overdue.

The weird thing about tickets is that I paid $15 cash at the gate. I guess pre-sales actually cost a dollar more. Bummer eh?

At any rate, the show was the shit. The opening band even had a familiar chick from the badass old Nashville band Fair Verona. They used to RAWK!

The venue, crowd, weather, and PILSNER URQUELL on tap fricken ruled! I loved being able to walk up on the dudemobile and I bought a couple of those brilliant event posters too.

MMJ really did it right. I've been wondering how they were going to bridge that gap where their albums are supa low-key, slow and emotional, but all their show reviews seem to be about RAWK! I understand now. So much musical subtlety and contrast really sets MMJ apart from pretty much ANY band I've heard in recent years. These guys are probably future classic rock already.

The "Rocky Horror"-ness of watching the movie with all those drunk ass ky yahoos was fun as hell. It felt great to be able to cheer loudly for the favorite characters as they made their appearances. Screaming the best quotes was a hoot as well.

Lebowskifest will be on my itenerary for years to come.
MMJ shows will also.
