I'm organizing a crew of guys right now, but I will be ordering in the next couple of weeks.
i'm there.. bonnaroo is like 1.5 hours from my house.. there's no way i would pass this one up. i have worn out my bonnaroo 2004 cd so bad you wouldnt believe it.
I would go, but I'm soured from last year. TOOOO hot and I got a night in jail on the way down...damn you Dade County.

Like a 16th of weed. And it wasn't even mine! We went off an exit on I-26 (the only one on the Georgia Stretch) and they had a checkpoint, had a drug dog, and found like 20 bucks worth of pot that my buddy had. Both of us got charged and taken to jail for the night, got out at 9 am on Friday and had to pay $400 bucks each (including the impound fee) and didn't get to bonnaroo till 10 pm that night.
My morning jacket proved to be worth the whole ordeal though...best rock show I've EVER seen, hands down.
But yeah, that's why I went to jail. Bummer :-/

Although I didn't get up on time to get the cheapest priced tickets, in fact we didn't even get the second price point. I paid full price for my Bonnaroo ticket and do not regret it at all. I still think it is a great deal.
I figure I'd pay $15 to see the smaller bands and $30 to see the bigger ones individually.
If I take it easy and pace myself to see 6 shows each of the three days, which will be cake. That's 18. in three days. Most of my friends don't see that many in a year.
I am going this year making it three out of four...gotta represent us thirty-somethings...kicked myself all year for missing the MMJ set from last year. I have flat worn out that CD since getting it from the bonnaroo site. Heres hoping for a late time slot!

This is my first Bonnaroo and I think this is the best line-up since 2003.
My Morning Jacket, The Mars Volta, That Black Crowes, and hopefully Kings of Leon and The Black Keys will be added.
Also I will be leaving Bowling Green Wednsday, early Thursday morning aroun 12am.
Someone told me thier was a rumor that Pearl Jam was going to sign on. If this is true I won't be able to stop biteing my nails until I find out for sure they're not playing in the same time slot as MMJ.

Iron and Wine has been on the bill for a while now, but if they add Beck that would be Super Sweet.
I doubt the Arcade Fire will be playing at Bonnaroo. I dont think it would go over well anyway.
And Iron and Wine has been confirmed since they released the first set of artists. Their new EP is very good and I recommend it highly.

Yeah, I wonder why you think that as well...Arcade Fire would rock anywhere, anytime. Although I saw them in the Dame in Lexington inside, they put on one of the best performances I have ever seen there. They really put alot into their shows and my favorite part was when one of them put on a motorcycle helmet and the keyboardist started banging on the helmet, ultimately he started banging on everything--the walls, the ceiling, my six-pack (beer not abdomen). Besides if you don't enjoy bands rocking-out--Widespread will be there. I am sure that I am going to get some feedback for that last sentence.

I'm going to Bonnaroo. We bought our tickets today. Bonnaroo will happen at the end of a two and a half week road trip through the southern states.

Well, I know for sure that we're going to hit Ohio (which is not the south, but we have to go to a theatre festival there), and then Alabama and Virginia and Kentucky. And we're trying to figure out where we want to hit the ocean - either along the east coast, or south in New Orleans. I think we're going to pick New Orleans.
And I think we might just pick specific dates and specific destinations for those places, and then mess around in the meantime, and see what comes our way as we go. That's the way I like to do it. That way we can stop in any old little town that seems fun.

Yes Meg you are so right, this would be a perfect chance for us to get some practice in. I'll make sure I pack it. If need be I can also play percussion on it while you jam the gettah. Also, you could start working on some lyrics for our theme song if you get a chance.
