No question, without a doubt.
Thanks for being there Dan. Love You Like A Brother!!!
An Amazing Evening In My Hometown, One To Remember. Jim rode to our precious "Globo Sphere" on a mountain bike that the people from Tihawana Taco lent him. He ROCKS!!!
Sweatboard, you'd better get off the computer and onto the highway if you're gonna make Bonaroo! Remember to take a two-liter bottle to piss in while you wait in traffic for .....????? Have a great time, and be safe!
HEARTBREAKIN' MAN?!?!?!
Is that the first time with the new lineup playing that? Damn.
The Knoxville show was so much fun last night. The boys were on top of their game. With their new songs I think the band is evolving and moving into new musical territories that is very exciting. The people of Knoxville were all so very friendly. It was just a perfect evening and well worth the drive from Louisville.
Was the Dylan cover "Tonight I'll be staying here with you"...the same as in Asheville?...That setlist looks great.

I think that is was the same Dylan cover from Asheville, and so does my friend Brian (Sweatboard). I'm not a big Dylan fan, so I can't say for sure, but it sounded like the same song I heard in Asheville. There was a Prince cover listed on the setlist for the encore on the setlist that I got, but they skipped it and just did the most Kick-Ass version of OBH ever....I think since they skipped it they had to really play out OBH b/c the promoters expect you to play until 10:00 PM
I was peeping at the setlist in Carrboro and they listed the encore as "Dylan, Prince, Mahgeetah." So I'm assuming it's the same Dylan cover all three nights, and it was definitely "Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You" when I saw them.
Were there any tapers at this show??? I must hear this version of OBH...a good buddy of mine from school who lives in Knoxville was at this show because I told him it could NOT be missed. Sounds like the Jacket probably made a good first impression on him, I'd love to hear it myself! Rock on.
sundown in the gallery
sweatboard, i know you were there because you live in knoxville, and i might have even asked you wot the name of off the record was after they played it because i didnt know at the time. EC, were you there too? i was up right at the front and saw big red hair :D. wouldnt that be weird to be all there within a few feet and we didnt even know it?

Nope. There must be another girlfan with big red hair. :)
I was at every single other show, though. Almost... ;)
i tipped a friend off about this show and recommended it highly.. and never thought much about it.. it's hard to plug MMJ into alot of my friends because they're so set on what they think music should sound like already.. well i get a message from her one day telling me how much MMJ rocks and how much she enjoyed the show.. it was really suprising to me that she actually made the 7 hour roadtrip to see them and more importantly that she's a hardcore fan now
Nice work!
Yeah, I'm working on my London friends. Because if I can't fucking go, somebody I know better.
