I'm in with my wife. Last show at Exit In I got 4 co-workers to go, and they'll be there too along with their new recruits. I have passed along the word to 6 or 7 others...ready to rock! ;D

Okay, promise me this - if you guys go, and I can't go (which I probably can't) can we make a radio device that will at least let me listen to the show with y'all, and you can whisper every once in a while what everybody's wearing, and if Patrick changed the picture on his drums, or whether or not Bo stands for Mahgeetah, or what kind of bass Tom is playing, and if Carl's sax is working, and if Jim does really weird stuff?

But not on a cell phone, because that would be so brutal.  Maybe we could be like the FBI, and you could all have secret devices in your ears with tiny mics attached, and I'll just rock along.  ;)

I will definatly tape the show.  So you will be able to hear it at some point, but I expect you to be there, just start saving some money now.  Also, give plasma, pawn shops and I know I've mentioned it before but.....selling your body.  Whatever it takes Be There!!!!

i can't wait.. i've told alot of my friends who are 'sorta' mmj fans but not really so much.. and some of them are gonna go to the show i think.. but probably not with me. i dont really like lugging around a large group of more than 2 or 3 friends. anyways i cant wait to see this new venue and rock out with all you stupid fuckers.

Ha Ha...... Drunkre was representing in Birmingham (anyone remember the sing along?).  I hope he gets to Nashville he kicks the intensity up about 90%.

and standing beside him for most of the show.. so my experience was definitely unforgettable in more ways than a few. i remember fumbling one of the peep bunnies and some dude behind me got it and i looked at him with a grim look.. and almost towards the end of the show he stuffed it in my back pocket and said "here man you deserve this"

i guess he watched us act like a bunch of fools the entire time and how much we were into it.

My girlfriend and I will be in Nashville as well as Indy.  I can't wait.  The show at the Palace was great, but not nearly long enough.

I'm so there ... got my tix already ... already caught them at the Sloss Furnace show this year, which was great, even if the sound was ho hum, and again opening for Wilco in Louisville (which was surprisingly lackluster, except for the DON'T FEAR THE REAPER encore with Tweedy and the boys) ... a bunch of friends here are going, as well as my best friend and his girlfriend flying down from NYC ... bring it ...

So this Drunkre, is that the sing a long guy to the Cheap Trick song at Sloss? Is that the guy? Man, that was perhaps one of the coolest things I have ever seen in my life! Doesn't sound like much if you weren't there, but it was so unexpected, ballsy, passionate...I loved it! :)

yeah.. we had 3 or 4 too many jack & cokes.. luckily i was the semi-sober one that kept some sort of order in place up there.  i still remember directly after the show some really young and stoned (i would imagine he was stoned) kid lazily jumps up on the stage to snatch up a drumstick and one of the stagehands just shoved him off of the stage and it seemed like he fell in slow motion and got right back up and tried again only to get shoved harder and yelled at. we were all up there just cheering him on for that.

darkglow, I remember THAT guy too (we were up at the front, my wife usually scores the setlist). That guy just appeared out of no where towards the end of the set. We were jamming out to Mahgeetah and BAM he runs right into me and slobbers on himself, then moves on over a bit. I don't know if he was so high that a side of his body was paralyzed or he had a deformity, but he definently was struggling with some body movements. And he also had some wild displaced hair features going on, like he had a patch of hair a coule of inches where his hairline stopped. And his eyes! His eyes were like the middle of glazed, cherry donuts. We named him THE MONKEY BOY. After the show (after the set list got scored! ;D)we watched his crawling onto the stage and get pushed off. He looked like a pillow case full of pudding when he was flying (somehow in slow- motion) backwards off the stage. He also had a friend with him who look disheveled and unkempt. We nicknamed him THE KEEPER.

Thought I'd add to the banter about the venue, City Hall, since I've been to a show there already.  It's a gutted out warehouse that holds 1200 and for all those worried about seats, there's not a seat in the house.  I went to the first show there last month, a sold-out Ray LaMontagne gig, and loved it....both Ray's set and the venue.  I was worried about the acoustics because of the concrete flooring, brick walls, and wooden ceiling above the towering rafters, but the huge swanky red curtains they placed over the windows seemded to do the trick.  Even with 1200 in there, it wasn't tight at all.  City Hall has a similar setup to Bogart's in Cincinnati, but a little bigger.  Draft beers are a shameful 5 bucks, but try the local Yazoo Brew selection.  You won't be disappointed.  And hopefully they've fixed the water leakage, which spawned a small lake in the back, which I trodded through on my way to the bar.  The place is just one big room, with a stage plopped down in front, three feet off the ground.  There is no parking lot, and street parking's sparse, so arrive early and form a line in the ally, or catch a drink at the swanky Bar23 next door.  If you need some dinner before the show, head around the corner to Demonbreun Street and hit up the Tin Roof or Dan McGuinness, which has a large patio and serves a mighty fine Beer Cheese Soup.  And one more tip for all you Eastern Time Zoners, don't forget that YOU WILL LOSE AN HOUR during your travels, making that 2 1/2 trek from the Ville an hour shorter.  Sweet.  Too bad it'll be 3 1/2 going back.  Hope this helps a bit.  I'm a Louisville native living in Nashvegas these days and am looking forward to bringing many a local Jacket Virgins with me to the show.  See ya there!

Ru San's isn't that bad. My wife always insists that we eat there because she loves sushi. They had put in a buffet at lunchtime the last time that we were there. It's also relatively close to Grimey's if I remember correctly.

i might have a couple of brosefs with me, so i would count about three people on my part.

The only problem with celebrating your anniversary at the Nashville show is that there will be so many wicked people there, and you may not have a lot of alone time, and she might feel weird because she's not into it like you are.

Well, if she likes sushi, that Ru-San place is very close according to the previous page in this thread. I *think* I know which building City Hall is. I remember seeing a couple of buildings close to Ru-San that I was thinking would be neat as music venues.

My wife and I saw The Who in San Francisco on our honeymoon and we saw Kings of Leon last month on our 5th anniversary.

Tom, You are right "How Could I Know" on omnichrone is Pure Bliss (I've been listening to the Cat's Cradle show).  Also, I was just thinking about how one time you said you have played music you had written for your mom and she mentioned that she was thinking the same things listening to it as when you wrote it.  I have to say, that has stuck in my head and is a truly amazing thing to have happen.

I'm torn on whether or not to wear my grey Swan Song Zeppelin t-shirt or not. A little stereotypical, but it's my total rock shirt. Either that, or I'll just wear somethin tight, so I can throw my fresh-bought Z shirt on over it.

Word up. I may get there an hour before the doors open as well. It depends on what my friends want to do. I'm meeting an old friend in town at some point that day and crashing with them after the show, but I think I'll be solo at the show unless my wife decides she wants to come.

I always really like to see people wearing band t-shirts for whatever concert I'm seeing.  I think it's awesome.

I'm a newbie here, but I'm going to the Nashville show Saturday.  I'm pretty excited.  I've missed two chances to see them before, one in L'ville and one at Bonnaroo.  I'm bringing a couple of friends.  I look forward to the show and hopefully will meet some cool people.  I might hang out before at the two doors down. It's a cool place.

Yeah, I'm really pumped for this show.  I saw them at bonnaroo this summer, been a huge fan of theirs way before then . . . anyway I drove back home (smyrna TN) from blacksburg va for the weekend so I could catch the show.  Look for a chubby white dude with a big fro ;)
