just wondering why the conan o brien appearance isnt listed on the shows page. or whoever runs the myspace page should put some sort of information up for that as well, as i see alot of new fans who would get to have a first look at the band on TV. just a suggestion because i know alot of people would be thrilled to officially hear this from this website instead of just randomly stumbling upon the bulletin on rcarecords.com

Conan is in New York which is close enough to Philly. What is the story with that? I'm sure that Conan would have them back without thinking twice. And is Letterman too much to ask? I have seen some shitty, shitty bands on Dave, I'm sure he can fit MMJ into the schedule ???

aMillionDreams, i was just talking about this the other day. like the other night dave had that actor jared leto's band on and they were pretty bad. mmj on dave would rock my world, it seems like it should happen.

My Morning Jacket was the only performance in the history of Conan O'Brien that he said he would buy their new album (ISM). I don't think he has said that about any other band on his show. i could be wrong.

anyone here lucky enough to get tickets for the conan taping? I dont live in NYC but am coming thru en route to Philly. If anyone has a extra ticket Id love to take it off your hands and put into good use.

I'm not sure you can get advanced tickets, but I could be wrong. Try NBC's website. There is a link for tickets on there somewhere. You may be able to request advance tickets. On previous trips to NYC I have either inquired about, or actually acquired tix for his show taping. You have to go to the NBC gift shop in Rockefeller Center the morning of the show and they will give you tix if available. The problem is that they tape at like 5:00pm or 6:00pm, right when things are really busy. So even when I did get tickets I didn't go. I tried to get some earlier this year and they weren't available.
here's a quote from conan's website:
"For standby tickets, arrive no later than 9:00am on the morning of the taping under the "NBC Studios" marquee on the 49th street side of 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Only one ticket will be issued per person. Please note that a standby ticket does not guarantee admission."
i've seen people get in with standby (me) tickets at other shows, like the daily show and letterman, and i've been to conan once before, but i dont know how likely you are to get in. he's probably the most popular of those three. either way, screw it. i'll be there at 9.
any speculation as to what song they might play?
i think the most likely is 'off the record'
but i could see them ripping a 'gideon' or 'lay low'
