Anyone on the forums going? I can't wait...new record is amazing... I haven't posted in forever. Still loving the MMJ of course.
Anyone know if they have sweatshirts for sale at the concerts? I've been dying to get one...dont think they've ever been available though.
I was just thinking about you the other day. I was looking at some really old posts and I saw your avitar (one of the coolest ever). Good to see you back.
Brian
oh yeah, A portion of "The Crunk Unit" (i.e. forum members who like to get up front and get down) will be in attendance in Cincy, they should be along shortly to introduce themselves.

haha, heck yea. I use this avitar for everything now. I actually impressed myself when i did it. Awesome to hear there is more of a crowd local near me on the forums now. Last bogarts show I went to I didnt get many responses, if any, for when i posted about the cincy show.
I'm headed there from Nashville, one of those get-off-2-hours-early-from-work-leave-during-the-cheering-of-Anytime-64oz.-coffee-in-Louisville-back-at-work-at-9 trips.
Some other idiot from the Krunk Unit is going with. It's his birthday or something. Probably make him ride in the back while I educate him on the history/importance of RUSH in the world music scene...
yeah. i'm goin cuz it kinda sucks. i have to ride with some prog rock grandpa or somebody. guys probbaly a commplete bastard. :-*
you better do your homework sonny:
http://www.progressiverock.com/
there's a test to be passed for a ride back to Nashville. :o
Go easy on us fogies there, tom. ;) I didn't realize you were a youngster til I saw you on last.fm - also saw that some othere dude used the same pic I did, the one with the guys in front of the Tennesse Fireworks.
im definitely going, closest show to where i live (about an hour). lets schedule a pre-show or something like that. wot time are you guys getting in town?
oh jeez. If the Moody Blues counts as prog, then I am in. Any chance of Days of Future Past for the ride back?
we probably won't be getting to Cincy until near 8. Thinking the doors open at 8 and show is at 9? Is that how that works up there?

yeah the 8:00 start on the bogarts page is usually the time the doors open. we'll have to meet up somewhere inside this fabulous venue then, right? [smiley=rock.gif]
i'll see what i can do to get up there..i need my Jacket fix.
I wouldn't be against meeting up inside. I may or may not be bringing someone... My ex would go, but she doesnt really like mmj ( maybe thats why shes an ex ) and i think it would be less fun with her there. Same with another friend...who knows what i'm doing right now. All i know is i'm there!
I'll be there and I will for sure be getting down. [smiley=guitar.gif]

Did someone say Moody Blues?! Big fan here - Huge - I mean to say Enormous. Just FYI - PM if interested in chatting more about them off the forum or take it to the Other Music section :-).
Laurie

Tom, Tracy and Tracy's Penis are probably having the time of thier lives RIGHT NOW!!!! Bastards ;) Then again they could all be stranded on the side of the road somewhere listening to the Rush anthology and drinking canada dry sparkeling rasberry spritzers. Happy Birthday Tom!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to hear all about it.
concert was unreal :o

another awesome show. i dont think tom and tracy are broken down, either. i met them after the show, mmj have really nice and cool fans. the sound was really great, not nearly as loud as indy, though. i think it was the best version of dondante ive seen so far out of 5. low down was a real treat for the encore, kept hoping for steam engine, to no avail. jim started the show before singing wordless chorus by singing the theme song to WKRP in cincinnati. i dont think i can wait almost a month until louisville!
WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My first show. I was about ten feet from the stage. Holy shit!!! I have now seen my two favorite bands, and the two best concerts i have ever seen (Wilco and My Morning Jacket) in thirteen days. WOW! WOW! WOW!!! I flipped out when they played Run Thru, and i went in hoping for Mahgeetah. WOW!
it's 3 AM, just back from the Natti, a rough neighborhood.
Slayed by DonDante. Slayed! Seen the boys 6 times since June and this show was either the tightest or the best sounding or both.
I reached elation several times, they reached the top of the ladder and kept going.
Also, Magheetah shirt twirling update: It's on! The guy next to me went full on shirt waving overhead twirling, at almost the exact time i had my own experience during Magheetah in nashville.....I am sensing a new craze!
I think everyone can rest assured that Tom had a memorable birthday!
And speaking of rest.... [smiley=sleepy.gif]

....Wasn't this phenomena previously described as "helicoptering your shirt." There may not be any way to officially rock out unless you wind up helicoptering your shirt at some point.

That was for Tom's birthday?! I didn't know that...
ok, i KNOW someone taped this show! PLEASE! I must hear the WKRP theme song!!!!!!!!! Being a Cincy native, that was my favorite song as a child!!!!!!!!!!!
wow. i just realized I wasn't logged in for some reason. maybe it's because I am so psyched to hear that WKRP theme song!
(p.s. Brian Burkett is me. I'm an idiot)

it was just audio, not video. the venue does their own little video screen thing, but i don't know if they tape it. i just got audio.
oh ok...were you the guy set up in the middle of the audience with a tripod? i could have swore that guy (you) was video taping?

Tyrone Biggums aka Dave Chappelle
does anyone know what jim said at the start of anytime?
I couldn't make it out.
something to the effect of
"There's been a lot of talk about this song, maybe a little too much talk. We're here to set the record straight..."
Tom, You got "I Will Sing You Songs" I'm sure that was a treat. Glad to see you and Tracy made it back ok, how much Rush did you have to endure?
P.S. I'm listening to the recording of the Indianapolis show right now. It's the best recording of the tour so far, if you don't have it download immediatly. Also, good to see someone tapped the Bogarts show.
I left all my RUSH at home, so Tom got me singing and air drumming a large portion of the RUSH catalogue... ;D ;D
I'll just say, it's a birthday he won't soon forget...
Tracy, check your PM's please. Thanks,
Brian

Brilliant pictures, thanks!

yeah, it was me. just audio though. :o) sorry to disappoint. i'm tracking the show out right now. i think it sounds a little better than the indy show from a couple nights earlier. i had heard horror stories about bogarts sound system sucking, but i didnt think it was too bad. maybe they upgraded it recently?
did you ever get the show finished to put online?
Quotedid you ever get the show finished to put online?

Yeah, that was the first good-sounding show i've EVER heard at Bogart's. Great recording!
My pictures of the show are up under the Gallery section! Yay!
