Title: Anyone tape the San Diego show?
Post by: malonem on Nov 09, 2005, 12:30 PM
Finally a current band that lives up to the hype!  Even though the crowd was dissappointing MMJ brought it last night.  I guess you get used to the "OC/Laguna Beach crowd" scene after living in it for a few years.

Thank you MMJ!.  That might have been the best show that I have ever seen.  And to think I almost didn't go because of a measley $20!  I need a copy of this show.  Please contact me.  Thank you very much in advamce.  MMJ, you have make a lifelong fan (even more than that when I get my friends hooked) and will see you next time you roll through San Diego or anywhere within driving distance!

Just want to give this another try.  Did anyone get a recording of the San Diego show?  Please.

Did you see anyone taping it?

I didn't and I was right in front of the soundboard for the whole show.

Bummer.

I didn't see anyone taping but I was so much into the show that the person next to me could have taping it and I would have never known.  If you find out it was taped, please let us know.  It was my first MMJ show and I thought it was amazing.  I have nothing to compare it to.  What did you think about the show?

I wasn't aware of anyone taping the show either...which is too bad....this was my fourth show and so far to my knowledge none of the shows I've been to have been taped....I must say though that the best show I was at there were only about 12 of us to witness it..it was at "the scene" in san diego....they actually stopped and conversed with all of us made PB&J and handed out tortilla chips......for the encore jim james came out solo and played an acoustic set of all requests.....the setlist for that show was.

dancefloor
lowdown
one big holiday
evelyn
just one
heart breakin man
the way that he sings
mahgeetah
steam engine
jim (not sure what this was-it's written on their setlist though)
phone went west

encore (requests)
bermuda highway
strangulation
old sept. blues

it was an amazing show for me
