I've only been here about three weeks (officially I guess a lot longer than that but I never posted and rarely visited), but
I am a taper (albeit a Minidisc taper) and I taped the Oct
8, 2004 Bright Eyes/Jim James/M Ward show. I also compiled a "Jim only" disc - just the songs that he sang on
that night in Fort Worth plus some filler of other stuff. I
offered this up last year on the almost-defunct yahoogroups
list. The renditions of The Bear, One in the Same, How Could I Know (Oxen), I Can't Wait, and others are off-the-charts in jaw-dropping astonishment upon listening! I
am sure that this is probably 'out there' and some of you have it. I will send it to someone to put it up somewhere
for download if there is any interest. Holler at me at lowdog@koyote.com - it'll take me a couple of days to get it
out, though.
Have fun,
Low Dog

Well, that's the deal - I forgot to fully explain this, but I don't have the capability to put it up anywhere. That's why I will send it to someone who has that ability. I will need to find a copy of it without gaps. The one I am listening to now
has gaps. If any of you want to volunteer to put it up on
archive.org or elsewhere just email me and I will get it out
in a few days. I am also planning on taping Dallas on Friday, and I will keep my eyes peeled for some killer rigs
there. Maybe we can get a really good-sounding show, I
know a couple of tapers in Dallas. Jim was on fire on this
night. He blew everyone away, big surprise!
