My Morning Jacket should play with "Spookie Daly Pride." They are a kick ass band from boston. if you don't know who they are you should definetly check them out... their music is hard to find though in stores but you can def. get it from www.amazon.com.
For all those people unaware of this check out www.archive.org for free full length mmj concerts dating back to 2000. peace out!
....and they should also play with Lawrence Welk. And all wear the same color suits (bright orange probably).
jim james should do a duet with neko case!
i would love to see MMJ play with the Kings of Leon and The Features...both out of Nashville
it could be like a southern baptist tent revival and everything could be "southern-fried" from the rock to the chicken!
Beck
Iron and Wine
The Flaming Lips
Drivin N' Cryin

Shit, JJ might as well sit in with the new pornographers. How magical would that be?
There really needs to be a my morning jacket /pearl jam show.
If there was a mmj and pearl jam show i would give anything to see that show, also I think a mmj and bob schnieder show would be awesome. But if I had a dream lineup it would be.
Neil Young
Pearl Jam
Ben Harper
My Morning Jacket
Bob Mould
Mike Doughty opening up.
Each band would get an hour and a half with an allstar jam at the end.

That is seriously an awesome fucking idea. Could you imagine Lawrence conducting them while they rocked out? That'd be a kick-ass idea for a video
Mike Doughty!
That should happen. They're on the same label, damn it.
Somebody put that together, but only if it can happen in the Southeast.
I missed Doughty when he was down here on this tour.
Surely Kermit & the Gang should be top of everyone's list? ;)

i've seen carl newman and dan bejar at a couple my morning jacket shows! maybe it's not so far fetched an idea!

NIce choices! I would add the Soundtrack of Our Lives and Brian Jonestown Masacre, and well the Black Crowes--which will be an incredible show!
I've heard Drive By Truckers are amazing in concert. Two hrs of DBT and two hrs of MMJ back to back might be too much to handle. :)
It's gotta be Pearl Jam and Neil Young.
It's nice to see so many MMJ fans are also PJ fans.

Yeah, DBT and MMJ together would be amazing! ;D
Dr. Teeth And The Electric Mayhem
I won't keep talking about this, because it'll turn into one of those things where somebody talks about something too much, and people stop listening, but holy cow, if My Morning Jacket got the Sunparlour Players (see "what show did you just see") to play with them, that would be a pretty hot show. A very good match.

Josh was invited to tour with them on this past tour but declined because he did not want to play solo - he is committed to his band, which is really great. I believe they met at Bonaroo last year.
Josh is an amazing singer/songwriter/guitarist and I could certainly see them playing together in the future. Neko Case would be nice as well.
I think any other rock band would suck with MMJ on the same bill. The whole time I would be wishing MMJ were on the stage. They need a solid solo folk act like Dylan, N. Young, or Josh Ritter to compliment their unbelievably amazing ROCK presence. Perhaps Zeppelin or the Allman Bros. could have shared the bill with these guys...they are in another league than Weezer and Death Cab.

josh ritter & band did open up for them in knoxville this summer at sundown in the city. i only have one of his cds. they were pretty good live, but id love to see them again to get a better idea.

Drive By Truckers

Dead Meadow. and they should play with M. Ward again, i wish i could've seen that.
If MMJ and DBT were to play on the same night, the whole place just might blow up or the roof would blow off. I've heard stories (not sure if they are true or not) about the Truckers knocking out the power at a show or too.
Another option might be The Black Keys, who are a two piece blues, garage rock band out of Akron, Ohio. If this happened, both bands would be required to hand out hearing aids to the audience as they left the venue.

the greatest concert would be pearl jam an mmj. it would be out of this world.
If the Jacket came out to jam with Neil Young and Crazy Horse for, I dunno, Cinnamon Girl, Powderfinger or Cortez the Killer, I will donate all my money to the poor and subsist on love, air and the memories of the kick-ass, guitar-whalin', hard-rockin' juice!
Would love to see them play with a bona-fide reggae artist. MMJ definitely have riddim.
