Title: New Years Eve Refund?
Post by: tsk1122 on Dec 06, 2005, 09:09 AM
I doubt this is possible, but thought I would ask.  Is there anyway we can get a refund for the New Years Eve show form Ticketmaster?

Thanks
Tim

I doubt Ticketmonster will be offering refunds.  I went through this a few years ago when the Strokes couldn't make a show they were supposed to open for Weezer.  Because they were the openers, I was told no refunds.

go to the black crowes website... www.blackcrowes.com... and then go to the message board... plenty of people are looking for tix... sell it there... for face value, plus shipping... of course

I don't think these tickets are as easy to sell as people think.

these tix are very tough to sell. look at ebay. tons of good seats for face value or less with no bids.

I'm in the same boat right now.  Just bought my tix during the production release on saturday.  I would possibly still be down for going although its still gonna cost me quite a bit of money travelling and whatnot.  But the 3 others I was going with have no interest in going now and want me to get rid of the tickets.  I can't scalp because I have to pick the tickets up at the window and then get ushered in immediatley after doing so.  I also just got off the phone with ticketmaster and they dont even have official word that MMJ cancelled yet and told me to call back in a few days, but thats probably gonna wield little to no result either.  Welp, i'm just venting, i feel stuck between a rock and hard place, considering i'm also in the middle of finals and my stresss level is already off the meter.

All I can say is I hope Jim gets better, he's given so much to me over the years, and I hope it continues for years to come.

I feel the same.  I am probably going to still go but I have a few of extras for people that just aren't as interested now that MMJ is not playing.  I personally think that the promoter Ron Desler(sp) need to step up big here and replace MMJ with a good opening act or offer refunds.

Get well Jim!

that is why you should sell directly to a black crowes fan on their message board.... maybe the casual fan isnt buying tix... (on ebay, etc).... but black crowes fans are obsessive and would love to have your good seat

dude there are about 100 extras on the black crowes board.  I am active member over there and I love the Crowes and I thought this show was a match made in heaven.  But a lot of my friends the ones I bought tickets for were more MMJ fans and are now not interested.
