Ok, This is the link to download George's show from etree. My question is, will etree automatically add this to the archive or do I need to do that? I don't understand how to upload something directly to the ARCHIVE and it's pissing me the Fuck Off. So, If anyone has any advice that would be great...... I read the directions and went through thier forum but it's still not making much sense to me. I have an ftp. server but I'm not sure what to do to actually upload the show to them. Thanks,
Brian
P.S. Thanks for the show George!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is beautiful. Good Work.
Yeah that's a great show but I believe the date should be 1-23-02.
Yes, you are right, I'll change that right now. Thanks,
Brian
hey guys...how does torrent work, do i need to dl a converter? and if so does anyone know a site i can do this at??
Thanks, George & Brian. This is awesome.
storm, you'll need a BitTorrent client. I use Azureus (http://azureus.sourceforge.net).
thanks for this guys! any chance jim will ever do solo shows like this again?
So amazing guys...thank you so much, this is just what i've been looking for!!!! :D My morning jacket to me reaches a spot inside that no other band ever can...they're amazing. This show is perfect for this time of year where i live, just dragging through winter...excellent.
Good stuff. You can hear the cash register printer doing it's duty and drinks being slammed down on the bar. Classic stuff to say the least.
Regarding the 1/23/02 solo Jim show,

( really need to learn how to copy and paste on this forum!) - Anyway, I don't know that he *can* do a solo show of this type anymore, my guess is that he can't. He's too big
now. I was a bigtime newbie when this thing happened. I had only seen MMJ once at this point, decided that I had to make the next possible road trip and this was it. I knew nothing about Bloomington and when I realized that IU was here then I figured it would be a madhouse! But luckily there were only these 40-50 *very quiet* people here. I just
think that something like this is impossible for Jim now - I hate to sound like a "those were the days" old fogey here, but I truly don't think that he can ever play to 40-50 people
anymore unless it's a secret-type or invitation only-type show. I do think that I'll go to my grave proclaiming that this show is still in my top five of all-time by any artist; it was truly a magical night. Thanks for the help Sweatboard and for the comments regarding the show. I am glad that a bunch of you got it and like it.

Many thanks to those who made this possible!!!
I can see him doing another show like this in the future. It won't be 3 dollars to get in like this one, though.
Think about it. J. Tweedy does, or did, and Wilco exploded. Not to say that MMJ hasn't. But I can honeslty see Mr. James playing a 100-200 person venue, like the Bowery in NYC. Anyway, I can only hope. ;D

(trying this 'quote' thing but it looks a bit garbled now!) - perhaps you're right, I certainly hope that JIm does something similar to this in the future. I just wonder if it'll be this *quiet* and respectful. I love those solo Jeff and Neil Young shows when they hear talking and then call out the audience members. bowery ballroom holds about 650-700... not 100-200
i saw jim solo there once in 2002 or 2003... he opened for bright eyes
Why is the file a xxxx.torrent. Will this play with any mormal player after I download it? If not, what do I need to convert it?
you need a few programs, flac converter and a bittorrent server to start. read up on it if your considering giving it a shot because you may need to make a few modifications to your pc. I needed to. It takes time to get used to, but if you read up on it you'll get a better understanding of what it is and how it works. If you'd rather, shot a post back and I'll get you a burnt copy... I don't mind.
That would be great! What do you need from me?
Go to members and get my email address. Send me an email and I'll get it out to you this week.
You should look into loading a bittorrent client, though, whenever you get the chance. They have loads of music on there.

I missed that show. Actually, I have missed these guys about 5-6 times. Whenever they play, I can't make it. Whenever I play, they can't make it. (i.e. NYE in NYC).
But I guess The Bowery does hold a lot more then 200 ppl. It looks really small when your on the top bar though.
This show is great. Thanks to George and Brian for sharing it with us. I've been so into Z and the newer shows that I almost forgot how much they rocked back in the day. They need to bring back War Begun and Picture of You. Seriously.
