Well they sure as hell rocked the place out in Buffalo, and that was only 7 songs...if they had played Steam Engine I probably would have gone crazy...I'm already jonesing for another performance, even thinking of going to Bonaroo next June...Japan is too far...

If you read all the live reviews it's hard to find a bad show mentioned...Athens probably parallels most of these in terms of the product delivered...I did notice Athens to have more of the stuff from the upcoming album "Z"

Damn, who was at this show (4 June 05)?

Listening to it right now, and I'm soooo jealous.

It was the best show I've seen them play.

It's perfect, from the crowd singing along to Mahgeetah to the killer screams at the end of It's About Twilight Now.  Download this show today!!

Pretty sure that was the first show they pulled out the conducter.

The crowd was amazing, the band was amazing, the vibe was amazing; the ghosts of the 40 Watt were stirring...

Athens last summer was the heat for sure.

The band not coming on 'til late + $3 PBR 2x4s  = a rowdy crowd.

Good times.

Wow, I don't have this one yet, sounds like I need to have a listen.  It's nice to see how many people saw a memorable show.

yep, right off the start with Mahgeetah and everyone singing along. But around the 3:20 mark, when the last 2 lines are delivered so... now are you ready to go, my lady?
I been waitin on the boat here, I been waitin so long...

is when the peak hits, and it lasts about 2 minutes, just an all out frenzy of people losing their minds and freeing their souls....what a sweaty evening.

is that true?  hmmm....  i can't remember if there was a conductor in birmingham, but didn't they play that one-off concert (with lots of others, maybe son volt?) before that?  wasn't the conductor there?

not that it matters, because it doesn't.  like at all.

i just remember a lot of mystery surrounding the conductor, and before i saw him, thinking that it was all quite strange...  :)

you win M! (nothing).

they did that NPR show in Philly and had the conductor.

yet, alas, no conductor in Birmingham, just a giant furnace backstage.

When I saw them in Knoxville at Sundown, I was asking Bo before the show if The Conductor was going to make an apperance.  He said The Conductor........wait a minute, the guy has a name you know.  Bo said that Friedrick Von Gugenheim had been delayed by traffic and it was questionable if he was going to be able to make the show.  As it turns out about half way through the show Friedrick appears out of the blue and is sudennly in full conductin swing.........Crowd Goes Crazy!!!!!!

Ripped it yesterday.

Listened to it this morning.

Moving to Athens tommorow.

It was almost like a window into the future of MMJ shows.  I have never heard a crowd so into it before.  A town with this many hardcore MMJ fans has got to be good.

Athens is a great town, indeed.  Great place to see a show.

I went with some hardcores from out of town.

I only been to Athens once and it was awesome! Check out the Brewpub downtown, and GA people are some of the friendliest and open people I have met. Going down the street on my bicycle and mechanics working in garages stopped their work just to wave at me. HELLO! I am moving South when I retire!

The Athens show was my 2nd favorite ('Roo in '04 [or was it '03?] was #1, because of the rain).

Great show.  I still love listening to it.  I can even hear myself.  ;D

That was the night I slept in the bed of the girl I am currently dating with the girl I was dating at the time (who is now my roommate).  Strange days indeed...still.
