Found this of WFPK's site here in Louisville... Did anyone know about it? I gave my MMJ presale number in hopes of getting a limited edition dvd... I hope that's good enough.

WFPK members can buy tickets to the 2nd Annual My Morning Jacket Thanksgiving Eve Concert at The Louisville Gardens before anyone else beginning on Tuesday, October 3rd. On October 2nd members will receive an MMJ presale e-mail with a password. Beginning at 10am on Tuesday, October 3rd, the 1st 50 members that e-mail WFPK their TicketMaster confirmation numbers will win a copy of the limited edition MMJ DVD EP 'Acoustic Chorale', courtesy of ear X-tacy. I think you had to buy the tix through the radio station presale but I sent in my info and I really hope I can get this dvd. If it's limited and goes out of print does that mean I can share copies of it? I hope someone else would do the same...

I got an email about a half hour ago saying I won a copy.
I left work and went and picked it up, my computer at work won't play it but here's what's on it.

The text is OKONOKOS style wit the leemurs and such.
No dates are given. It could very well be from the OKONOKOS dvd coming out but I'm hoping it's different footage as it'd be best to get as much stuff out as possible.
If this is a limited edition pressing, can I share it?

Good thing I don't have any compulsive need to own all of the official releases on top of the limited stuff... I'd be screwed.
Regarding sharing - As far as I'm concerned, sharing is acceptable under the circumstances that not just anyone can order this from Amazon.com or something. This is a Limited release, and will probably be out of print after about 50 copies... so, yeah, this would fall under the share-worthy category for me.

I had emailed earx-tacy and got no response before I found out I won it. I am trying to rip the audio at the moment. It's all recent stuff with the jungle stage setting. It is a very good dvd though. I'm sure earx-tacy has plans to give this out, they always give stuff like this out and with riny's hint, I'd think it's got to be true.
If not, I don't mind sharing but I get what you mean by being a completist...
I'll keep my ear to the ground and at least get you guys some mp3s...

Here's a scan. On a side note, anyone know how to get mp3s or even wav or aiff's from a dvd on a Mac and I'll get it done. I tried Audio Hijack but I don't think my computer is fast enough and it keeps skipping. I'm copying the dvd off to avi for now though, hopefully in the morning it'll be done and if I can get an ok from a mod, I'll sendspace it for you guys.

I just ran to my local CIMS (Easy St. in Seattle) and they didn't have any of these, either. Maybe it's too new? Maybe they'll give them out with the DVD?
I bought the cd there when it came out a couple weeks ago, so I'd hate to have to buy another to get this DVD. But will if that is what it takes....!!!

I was just thinking the same thing. I'm sure if you got the DVD with the preorder they would have mentioned it. I think I'll buy mine from ear xtacy and play it safe.

i got the email this morning - it sounds to me like the acoustic chorale dvd is a separate thing, coming out after the o dvd....
anyone else going to do the preorder thing? i preordered the cds, but then found them in a record shop here the day after it arrived in the mail.... it was cool to get the free download of strangulation, but it probably ends up costing me more (with the eternally crappy AUS$ / US$ exchange rate).....

Yeah, but appenently all of the songs on it are from the OKONOKOS shows, so what will be left to put on the specail featurers. That DVD would be pointless if those songs were specail features on the actual DVD. Ya know?

i heard there will be quite a few extras to enjoy on the dvd, so either these are a nice preview of things to come, or they stand on their own and there is a bunch of other stuff to get excited about, too.
