I didn't take my gear to tape since I read here that they didn't allow taping - but the only signs up were 'no video' and 'no professional photography' - I asked the guy at the front about it and he wasn't sure. I *might* try to tape tonight.
But...did anyone here tape and get a good recording last night? If so, then I won't try to drag my stuff in.
The show was awesome. I saw 'em in Nashville Monday as well but I have been too busy to write about it.
Both nights were great, the band is obviously on fire and extremely talented. I met a couple of dudes from OKC - Jason and Justin...Jason was at Bonnaroo, this was Justin's first live MMJ show. I think that the setlist has been written up, maybe - here is something pretty close: It beats for you/Way that he Sings/Gideon/What a wonderul Man/Off the Record/Mageetah/From Nashville to Kentucky/Golden/Wordless Chorus/Dondante/Xmas Curtain (highlight for me)/Lay Low/At Dawn/Bermuda Highway/I needed it Most (first time I've heard that since 3/24/02!)/Hopefully/Run Thru/I think I'm going to Hell/I will Sing you Songs/Anytime - probably left something out. They played 20 songs, anyway, and they played two hours and two minutes.
Only drawback for me was assholes talking nearby and when I 'shushed them' I got a 'fuck you!', which I gladly gave back. Later they moved after one more exchange of 'fuck you's' and "I'd like to hear this show, not you" - that's not my nature, I hate violence! But I also hate talking assholes. Oh well, no punches were thrown. During a fit of thrashing during the ending of Way that he Sings I actually knocked my own glasses off my head! Luckily a nearby dude found them and they weren't trampled! That's would've been jacked up since I don't have another pair on me and I had to drive 65 miles back home!
Anyway, if anyone taped, please let me know. If nobody comes through then I may try to get tonight's show.

Glad it rocked for you. I had the same problem with assholes at the Ryman show. That seems to be the difference between seeing them at a GA standing room (such as the Tabernacle where the crowd was ROCKING because the real fans could get close), and a place like the Ryman where there's assigned seats and the assholes have to mingle with the big fans.
Of course that's not to say that people who talk during the show aren't fans, it's just that for us that drive to several shows a tour, we want to immerse ourselves in the wonderful magic of MMJ, and that's hard to do when hipster assholes are talking about the way people are dressed while they're playing.
Enjoy the next show!
You left out One Big Holiday that closed the main set
BH was unreal to open the accoustic part of the encore!
well Im dragging my hardware to Austin .. lets c what happens there . and as for the assholes I hate them bastards lucky im going with about 6 friends of mine and we are all pretty big dudes well just push them out of the way ..
glad to hear that they are kicking ass !!! cant wait for tomorrow night
wow...they played "i needed it most"?
was this solo Jim or did they play a full band version? i would kill to hear that!!!
it was not full band
iwas really suprised with the crowd.. i didn't get too close so i was worried there would be a lot of talkers but never once had a problem.. after listening to the Charleston Boot i was afraid it could be bad
everyone was super respectful in my area
