I'll be getting into Beantown perhaps 7 PM. Anyone know the approximate time MMJ plays. Also are cameras allowed in Avalon Boston?

A friend of mine from Boston recently told me that the Avalon will not let bands play past 10 pm on fridays and saturdays because the club opens up. I don't really know the truth to this, but I would think she is a reliable source... Anyone from boston frequent this place???

saw MMJ at the avalon last year and i think they were done by 10:30 at the latest. i believe there is some truth to the club thing, so GET THERE EARLY folks.
however, i saw iron and wine there last year too and the show went until 11
I think they were actually off the stage last year by 10 the latest. This show will defiently be over very early becasue this palce turns into a club at night.

I saw Gnarls Barkley on a Friday night in August and they played until about 11/11:30, I don't think they're going to make MMJ leave early.
I would say get their early to catch The Slip
if you miss out you will be kicking yourself later. The club deal is true but i have been there many times and it fluctuates. earliest was 10 but that started at 7 i think....
