My first MMJ show tommorrow! I can't believe I'm finally gettting the opportunity to see them. Its been a long wait. I guess a little over a year isn't that long but it is considering how quickly I fell for the music. To anyone else going I hope you guys have a great time too. Anyone in Cleveland know of a good nearby bar/restaraunt to go to before the show?
Enjoy True!
It's my first MMJ show too and I can't wait! The HOB actually has decent American food if you wanna eat there. There's Flannery's, a nice Irish pub around the corner. For Cajun/New Orleans, go to Fat Fish Blue down the street. For a high-end restaurant with phenomenal food, go to Lola, directly next door to HOB on East 4th.

You guys are awesome. I can't believe its up. i was thinking to myself on the way back "bet the setlist is up already". Anyway, I had a blast. Highlights were It Beats, Run-thru, Mahgeetah, Wordless, the whole show basically. There were only a couple songs that i wanted to hear that weren't played-lowdown, at dawn. Jim's stuffed woolly mammoth was cool. More thoughts coming tommorow.
My first MMJ show and I was BLOWN AWAY!! Can't truly describe how excited :o I was. Seriously, words can't describe! I was "2nd row" center (if you can call it a row.) WOO-WEE! Thanks for the setlist. I knew it would be up here today.
Cheers!
Does anybody know the name of the song that had radioheadesque ppunding synth beats in the background?

Sounds like "Wordless Chorus". Did he sing really high at the end?
It definitely wasn't wordless chorus, It was in the first half of the set though. Thanks...
probably off the record then.
I'd say It beats 4 U. THe whole "ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba" thing. ..."So in time with me" ect.
We got there while The Slip had already begun so I don't know what I missed. They were really good and I'm deffinately gonna look more into them. They wore cool animal head hats. If anyone has pics of them with the hats I wanna see em.
We were over to the left of the stage pretty close to the front. It was a perfect spot for The Slip but I kinda forgot that the band always has the same stage formation. So most of my pics on my cell were of carl, I was too far from Jimto get a good one. Next time I'll go to the right to be in front of Jim. Watching Jim go crazy on stage during It Beats with the strobe lights going was one of the coolest things I ever seen.
It was a pretty big crowd, but I don't think it sold out. The House of Blues is a cool venue, lots of great paintings hanging all around. My ears are still ringing.

I wonder if you're referring to the drum loop on Lay Low. It would fit right in on Kid A. On that song Jim starts out without a guitar and then straps it on at the end for 3 minutes of tight guitar bliss with Carl.
