her - "mmj rock!!"
me - "shake your head"
her - "i shook my whole body!"
i think that's about as good as any mag could ever say. ;)
What is the connection between Rodman and Pearl Jam? Or is there one? I was watching on ATTBlueRoom and I was like, wow that dude looks like Dennis Rodman. I didn't really think it was until I read some reviews this morning.

Dennis Rodman is a huge Pearl Jam fan (he says in his biography (if I remember correctly) that it was a PJ song that stopped him from killing himself) & PJ are huge basketball fans (they were originally called Mookie Blaylock (sic?) after the SS player) so they've been friends for a good few years now.

I think they were awesome as usual, I just had two problems, the hour they were givin is no where near long enough, and something was up with the sound on that stage, I noticed it on Friday, it would just go in and out of being muffled then loud, then muffled. It was the same for everyone playing on that stage. And I also wish they were on another stage so the true Jacket fans could get up close without fighting all the pearl jammers that got there early just to see Pearl Jam. But I have no regrets, we drove all the way from Louisville just to see them and it was well worth it, im looking foward to seeing them again!

Only thing is, Kanye did more justice and appeal for that song last year than Curtis Mayfield could have ever accomplished.

kings of leon blew mmj off the stage? only with how much they suck.

Try giving justice and appeal to silence, b/c that's what you get if Mayfield doesn't write that song. Justice? Appeal? kanye even knows that's not true.
Curtis Mayfield had more soul in a dump he took behind a train station when he was 6 than kanye could dream of on his best day.

yeah..there is NO WAY this is possible...the Kings shows are good, but NOT GREAT. they ALWAYS lack pure rock energy...whereas MMJ shows are always 150% rock.
i've seen the Kings 4 times and the Jacket 9 times so i can compare!

I drove in from Nashville specifically to see the Jacket. I ended up about 15 rows from the stage on Carl's side and it was badass. I agree with the statement about wishing they played on a different stage than the Pearl Jam stage. But from the getting there at like 9 am to wait in line to finally hearing them, amazing.

Yeah and they also named their first album Ten because of Mookie's jersey number.
Wow, MMJ and the youth was beautiful!!! Other then the heat it was a great day. "Sticky," im with you on just one thing, I saw them do it at summerfest last year but totally dont remember. Lets just say in was breath taking. Wish we could of had a little longer of a set but it was still worth the $80 Concert ticket and $200 plane ticket. Zappafan and I were extremly bummed that we didn't get to meet anyone. But I did get to meet Jim and Patrick at the Guitar off that Carl was doing. Heres some photos of my day. One more thing, did anyone else catch how beyonds words the version of Gideon was? :D :'( :D

"While Peter Bjorn and John appealed to the frolicking boho-hippies of the crowd with their elated, easy electro mixes, most of the crowd succumbed to exhaustion, nursed their weary feet and/or a beer, and swayed lightly to My Morning Jacket." :-?
;D ;D
perhaps that reviewer only stopped by during "just one thing"
there was very little light swaying going on in my vicinity.
i was there...i met Carl sat afternoon too. I was eatting lunch, look over, and boom...there he is, drinking a pilsner with his wife and friend. They were super nice, but ofcourse i was star struck (which i dont normally get) and sounded like an idiot for sure. I got my ticket signed though and made sure he knew my love for their music. he seemed very flattered and almost surprised that i knew who he was. When i was leaving, he even said "take it easy casey"...remembered my name and everything.
I asked about the new album, he said sometime next year....kinda what we guessed. But all and all, lolla rocked, MMJ killed it, Move On Up was a perfect cover for Chi Town, and i think MMJ gained many more fans.
LOVE!
