Hey out there...
Upon explaining to our families that we won't be home for T- day this
year, it occurred to us that, out of respect for you guys, we should
let you know that there will be no Louisville Thanksgiving Eve show
this year. Finishing this next album is paramount in our eyes, so
coming home just wasn't an option.
So...
This Thanksgiving, make sure to spend some quality time with the ones
you love, and give a little something to those less fortunate than
you. What goes around, comes around.
Thank you guys for everything you've given us. We couldn't ask for a
more supportive, enthusiastic, and loving family. We miss you guys...
See you next year.
My Morning Jacket
:)
Damn, this album must be a monster. They missed Bonnaroo, as well as any substantial summer/fall tour and now their Thanksgiving show because of this album. I'm sure it will be worth it, but playing live could be beneficial to them.

IT WILL BE WORTH IT!!!
This makes me feel appreciated... Thanks, guys... I miss you.
:'(
at least they gave us a heads up.
Aww man that was sweet! :)
That is Very cool of them to let us know.
Riny- can we send them some turkey and dressing since they won't be home for T-giving? :-?
I'm sad, but only in a selfish way. I too am happy that we did get a heads up.
Thanks Jacket, Louisville misses you!
awww... :) thanks, guys. we heart you.
ive never been so sad in my entire life.
well, the new album must be some epic creation, at least i hope it will be.
Great message, thanks for passing it along!!! love that they do this...
08 is gonna rock!!!!
thanks for the heads up jacketgirl! :D :D
Have a great break fellers! :)
this note would've been A LOT better if it had been on lisa frank stationery
I too am sad in a selfish way. :'( I'm glad to know what's going on though and looking forward to next year. Good luck guys!
Thanks for the note, thanks for the music, and you know how much we love you back!!! We miss y'all, too!

You should get outta the house more often.
8-)
I was pretty upset when I read the news this morning. I decided last year that it would be my birthday/Thanksgiving tradition. I had been looking for positive news for some time now. Alas, maybe next year it will just make it all the better!
I LOVE YOU GUYS! [smiley=beer.gif]
see you next year indeed! [smiley=cheesy.gif] have a lovely fall & winter!
we might need to convene a mid-november One Big Jacket Fest! maybe a few satellite events to keep the fires burning thru the winter.
i quote,"Let's clambake this fucker!"
next year? does than mean a new years show?? SF? 4 nights?
Ooh lotsa changes....no beard....short hair....no T'giving concert......I think Jim & the boys are getting down to serious business with the new record. I have a feeling this will be a really important album for them. Less 'rockin', more serious hopefully. I know Jim has a great sense of humor, and light/goodtime side to him, but I think he's truly troubled with the state of the world, and this may be reflected with his new music. Just a feeling. I know Z got good reviews, but I bet the new record will get the boys some major respect.
Wow, just another small example of what makes this band so special. I'll miss seeing the boys, but there are many many great shows to come. I'm going to do something special for someone for Thanksgiving in the name of the band! Cheers!
(So what about Thanksgiving Eve Eve in St. Louis?) ;)
maybe this will be a good time for us to experience new bands...i know it sounds crazy, but maybe it just might work.
Next summer...OMG. I'll have just graduated from college and i'll be ready for a tour, i really wanna see them in louisville, im sure it's 200 times better than the show i saw in PHX, due to the epic crowd of course.

Nah.
;)
"And 'Z' is, of course, for My Morning Jacket, not the end of the story."
So anxious to hear this new album... :)
I miss you...
