Title: question about chicago run
Post by: big hungry joe on May 11, 2008, 02:41 PM
so, we're contemplating going to chicago to catch the two tour enders, because we'll ironically be in mexico when they play here at stubb's. since we don't have too much experience with mulitiple night mmj runs, we were wondering if they play two shows in a row with different setlists at all.

they will probably play about 1/2 the songs they did the night before.  it will be different setlists, but not completely different.  the shows will be different enough to make it worth it.... i will say this though... the chicago theatre is THE BEST indoor venue i have EVER been to.  (i've been to thousands).  You will want to go back the second night just to be in that venue again.  BE SURE to check out the ceiling and all the frescoes on the walls.  I went to the theatre a few years ago for a 3 night Widespread Panic run, and i can't WAIT to go back.  just not sure if i can make it for MMJ or not.  i will do my best though! :D

Gotta second that motion on the Chicago Theatre.  I saw Neil Young there last fall for the first time... total mind blower.  Being in the midst of such a great venue with the Jacket  would no doubt be another transcendent concert experience.
