My wife would be happy you said "Old Navy"
Old Navy is her first and only job. She's worked her way up to general manager and came home the other day raving that "touch me pt 1" was on their monthly store soundtrack. She said they've broken into mainstream now that they're on the Old Navy soundtrack...  :D

That is a good sized crowd.  Behind the head guitar solo!  This is an awesome performance.  Thanks for putting this up!

This was actually my first MMJ show I saw, and the best show I saw that festival, that summer and in my whole life and I really mean that...!
It made me fan for life.
What made it so special? The songs, the energy (just look at the end of 'it's about twilight now'!), the humor (Jim James throwing food and drinks into the audience - a box of orange juice exploding on some guys head!) and the beauty (Jim sang 'I will be there...' on the edge of the stage without a mic and 12000 people - well, maybe not everyone ;-) - were holding their breath.)
I realy hope to see some more footage of this gig, because it reminds me of when I was young and still dreaming of becoming a rock and roll star ;-)
There is a soundfile from this show on the archive.org website.
Nice touch to this story: Inside the booklet of At Dawn, there is a picture of the festival, shot by one of the guys. If you knew them, you could recognize my girlfriend, one of my best friends and the back of my head in the audience ;-)

It's been 5 years now since I saw them in Brussels, and they really sucked (Jim James sang in only 3 songs because he was sick). I hope they make it up next week in Amsterdam!

grts,

P.

Pretty amazing how in just 14 short years, the likelihood of an artist playing to that many people who are listening, not talking and not "filming" is pretty close to zero.

Thanks CC!  Episode 3 is amazing.  Unreal Jim did that song like that in front of that sized crowd, and he was what about 21 years old.  And what a contrast compared to the jam at the end of Lil Billy.

If episode 4 is in the vault, feel fee to bring it out.
