Title: Madison Square Garden Question
Post by: MissSerpentine on Jul 02, 2008, 10:05 PM
So I have two tickets for section 2....When I bought the tickets it made it look like it was going to be all seating; however, now when you go to look at the arena layout section 2 is within a section called GA PIT...? SO, my question is will I have to fight off some d-bags to get up close, or do I have a seat?

Thanks dudes

Gonna be a kick ass show :D

Your tickets actually say section 2 on them AND have a seat number(s) listed AND no mention of being GA? Weird. I was under the impression based on the GA map at TM that sections 1-4 are all GA.

I think most GA tix say a section on them but it is a GA Pit show.  Go to ticketmaster and you will see a GA Pit floor plan in the drop down box.  You do not have a seat but I would not be complaining about this.  Most people are looking for the tix you have.

well if you want me to take those off your hands and deal w/the douches myself, i'd be happy too :-) do you want to trade me for my tix in the more sophisticated and civilized section 10? (what? sorry, my loyalty to section 10 wanes when i'm faced w/tix closer!)

Actually, I've just never been to Madison Square Garden, tool....but thanks to the others that gave me a clean answer. You can't tell me you haven't been that dude that gets muscled out of your front row spot because of some drunk asshole (Bonnaroo 08 for me!!)....but you are a veteran on the forums...I guess that means you're a somebody?....I guess this makes you a bigger MMJ fan than me?...who knows?..Which button do I press to call your mom? Anyway, I'm going to be happy with wherever I sit...I was up at 10am, just like everyone else for the presale...so if someone would like my tickets...that might be able to be arranged....Or maybe just a trade?..

Thanks.

For as laid back and cool as the band and their music is, this place is contentious as hell sometimes. Ive been here nearly 2 years and someone blasted me as a "newb" (is there a lamer word in the English language?) because I said it shouldnt bother fans if some people dont like the new album. Somehow that statement meant that I was a new poster (which obviously means I know less or care less about the band) and that I too didnt like Evil Urges. People just need to take a breath and chill out.

some people take seniority very seriously. mostly this just reflects on their insecurities in life, so don't worry about it. there's been some general bad 'tude lately. people can get way too worked up over the internetz.

Um .... Last time I checked this was an open forum for discussion.

So, now apparently, you are the "conscience" of it?

With all due respect, "Moderatrix", I don't give a flying fuck if I "get on your nerves".

Seeing as how YOU have only been on this Board for a few months, it's not as if you are even a veteran here.

In fact?

Some people might even call you a "noob".

In closing I think these words sum up my feelings about the freedom of expression ....

1.  It is not an open forum.  Did you read the terms of service when you signed up?

2.  You should if you want to stick around - and that is not meant as a power mad statement.

3.  As I PM'ed you, you have no idea how long I've been here.

Fran ....

I am sorry for my nasty comment.

I reacted badly to your post about "getting on your nerves."

Yes, Fran is uptight and stringent but really, she just wants you all to be the best versions of yourselves.

Make yourselves proud, people!

I wasnt saying that we should be the same. I dont go out of my way to give people shit. You're always going to have jerks though (not that Im calling anyone here a jerk), thats just one of the drawbacks of the anonymity the internet provides.

QuoteFran is on a crusade for polite discourse.

That doesn't mean we can't have spirited discussions and differing opinions.  I just find it pedestrian that people think they must resort to name-calling and rude behavior to get a point across.

That goes for people who have 1 post or 1,000,000.  That even goes for me.
Are you referring to yourself in the 3rd person? If so we can have a spirited discussion on how cool that isnt.  ;D

I usually post home flick there when I want to
blow all the tension out of the room or when I
realize how silly we all are. I found him last
month when I was being accused of being the
anti-Christ and satan reincarnate, simply b/c I
thought people were being uncool (you know, my
opinion?)

Either him or Celine Dion will do.

Home biscuit there shows the absurdity of life, just
how damn silly this place is and how silly we all are
(and I, probably the silliest of all)because truth be
told, home skillet there is serious, and he's probably
making bank to pose for pictures like that. And I am
here arguing the merits of 1 in a million rock bands
when I should be working on my abs like hootem toots
there.

Life is a carnival...
