OK, MMJ in Amsterdam was absolutely fantastic, but it could have been mindblowing if it wasn't for these assholes and their behavior. Thanks to the guy(s) who called security to throw their asses out.

I was at the Asheville show and these 2 guys were yelling at Jim and Co. cursing them for not playing this or that....they were way drunk and eventually were"retired" by event security. Otherwise, in my defense, I think I sing real well LOL ;)
I get to see them at a big festival in 2 weeks. It is my first MMJ show and I am so worried about people being asses because of a lack of knowlage about the band. Unfortunatly MMJ never come to wertern Canada and about an hour is all this super fan is going to get. So in advance F you drunk assholes let the boys do their thing.
Well I mean you are at a Jacket show. It is rock n roll. So this shit is going to tend to happen. I think it is lame to let this affect your experience so much. Jacket is captivating enough that drunken or enthusiastic fans tend not to affect my concentration on the show. If your still worried/ angry throw some bows... :D
Not saying I won't be drunk but some people have a hard time at festivals dealing with something different then what they normally listen too. There is a great video on youtube that shows NIN cut short from stupid drunks yelling at the band.
Hey Pjetrol, I think I was a couple of meters in front of you. I heard lots of aggressive shouting behind me during the end of 'I will be there when you die' and was very glad it was far away enough to be able to ignore them. But great that security was helpful; usually they're not there when you want them to...

my favorite mmj drunk fan is that one guy (or girl sometimes) who just yells out JIM JAMES between every song. present on many recordings. but you know, as long as people aren't disruptive, i don't give a crap. people are seeing their fave band and they are pumped. they are in the bone zone.

That being said. I want rowdy and raucous behavior at concerts. I'm not a mosher and never was but the insanity and lunacy that makes a magical show would be missing if the entire crowd sat on their hands.
Again, If you have the means to do so, get the drunks stoned. It benefits the stoner and puts the drunk on his ass, drooling. Especially in Amsterdam!!!

Yep, the end of IWBTWYD, that's when everybody was sick of these guys. On youtube, you can actually hear one of these asses shout 'thank you' in the middle of the song and a lot of 'hou toch je kop' (shut the f**k up in dutch) by who was standing next to them.

I love it when people go crazy at a concert and yell stuff between songs. It keeps the interaction going...
But some dudes standing with their backs to the stage, talking loud and laughing when there is nothing else to hear then a voice and an acoustic guitar, that is something else.

There is a big difference between going nuts for the band and being a prick. Some people do go f'n crazy at shows and may hit you accidently. Thats not so bad. It is the people who don't give a shit and could care less about all other people and their enjoyment. That being said 16 days till MMJ at pemberton festival!!!

No, that wasn't me, but I did hear all that. I was lucky not to be standing next to them, but quite often I'm not that lucky, so I totally understand what you mean...
