I'll be there!
Oh shit wait, you meant London, England? Nevermind...
Me + 0 :'(
I'd rather go alone than not at all! Did the astoria 2 years ago solo and that was up there with the best gigs ever :D That also applies to Jim's solo date 6-7 wks ago.
I'll also be heading to the Nottingham date on the 11th (+1!!)
I have to be there!
I'm planning to go:)
Did everyone get tickets through ticketweb? Wondering if there's any other places to buy.Might head to the venue and enquire.
Actually has anyone been to the venue?
Sounds interesting:

After listening to a MMJ compliation I made for her, my friend has said she would love to come to the Forum, so I am now a plus 1 as well!

I saw Iron & Wine/Bon Iver there in May - first time I'd seen anyone there - it was fantastic. Very nicely refurbished, good sound - not the best of atmospheres for that gig but it should be better for MMJ. It's not that different to Shepherd's Bush Empire.
I got my ticket through stargreen - it hasn't come through yet so I need to phone them later!

Waiting for mine from Seetickets, too. Checked online, and they haven't been despatched yet...
Got my tickets in the post this morning. Can't wait.
AM HOPEFULLY going to the Louisville show next month as well. MMJ-MANIA.

International Jacket madness! Nice one.
Our tickets arrived yesterday, so panic over. Four days and counting.

So any idea what time they'll be on tomorrow?
I might not be able to leave until later than I'd have liked now...
Cheers.

I think the venue site says they will come on around 9pm. Doors at 7pm, Everest (?) at 8pm. Anybody heard this Everest band? Listened to a few songs on their myspace, they sound pretty chill.
Hope my first post here is useful ;D

Everest opened Hop Farm a couple of Sundays ago, however i was taking cover in the indoor bar as it was pi55ing it down with rain, but i've heard conflicting reports about them, some say good, some say bad- so i'm reserving judgement until tonight.
Very much up for tonight. I can hardly wait in fact.
i have two tickets for this event but now cannot go, if anyone is interested in buying these off me I can meet you at kentish town tube station tonight before the gig, they are £15.00 each,
I also have a spare ticket for tonight. It's a standing ticket. I can meet somebody at the venue/tube station. Let me know before 4.30pm if you'd like it (face value- £15). Drop me a PM.
James
Everest were good at the Hopfarm, despite the early morning slot (first on) limited time (30 mins) and desperate weather (pissing down).
They made the most of it and interacted well with the crowd.
Their Indie, Americana style will go well with MMJ, imho.
Forum website says Everest 8 to 8.30, MMJ 9 to 11.
Looking forward to it, ever so slightly :D
I can't even wait... I'm just sitting here at work humming One Big Holiday again and again. Do you guys think that Jim will come out and play a song with Everest? I read somewhere that at one show he came out with them for a Dylan cover. That would be a fantastic early taste :)

Thanks BH. I'm right up for it this evening; looking forward to seeing everyone there!
Hope to get a setlist and some pics up asap afterwards...
Back about 20 minutes ago.
MONSTROUS.
My ears are dead. That was the best gig I've been to in quite some time. Amazing, as expected.
I'd post a set list but I'm sure someone else with a better memory than me/who actually got one would do a better job...
I'm so glad you had a good time.
I was thinking of you all last night :D
They totally ravished it last night. One of the best shows I've ever been to, bar none. The way they tore up Dondante almost threw me into shock. Somebody said it already, but Jim was spot on with his voice - something I was a little worried may be an issue when he hits those crazy long notes like on Gideon.
Sent me to another planet, I just wanted to hit the rewind button and do it all again when we left. The openers weren't bad either, and Jim joined them for a song as well. I don't usually like crowdsurfers but it was hilarious when the one guy came tumbling out the front overtop us and Jim got right down in his face and rocked it clean off.
Final words: I can't stop smiling. Wow I can't wait to see them again when I get back to the states.

I really can't add much more to that. It was absolutely stunning. It's the fourth time I've seen them (after Nottingham last friday, Astoria nearly 2 years ago and Glastonbury 2003) and the best I think. Last Friday in Nottingham was outstanding enough but the additional 3 songs in the set and better quality venue/acoustics and crowd made a huge difference. They didn't do Mahgeetah or They Ran as they did in Notts - but having Lowdown, Touch Me...Pt1, I Will Sing You Songs, Phone Went West and Dondante obviously made up for it (and some..). Dondante was incredible - I'm still in awe. ;D
I was quite confused at the extent of the "mosh" for OBH however - it was completely unexpected and massive. Part of me wanted to get involved and the other half just wanted to be still and take it in. There really wasn't much of a say in getting knocked around. I know I trod on someone's toe but I was in the process of being knocked over... :P I wasn't sure if lots of people just got caught in the moment or whether 50 rowdy Londoners paid £20 just for OBH (hoping it's the former!)
If I would've realized they would be around the UK while I was here sooner, I would've tried to hit them all. I don't remember the crazy mosh happening at Lollapalooza, but they had the crowd so wound up this time that by the time they threw OBH on us most people were taken away with it.

Were you on the barrier in a very central position? There were a fair few Americans just in front of me - one was told not to take photos as his camera had a lens attached to it. Everyone seemed to be into it in a big way - was good to see. ;)

I was at the front and it was certainly mental down there for the encores. There was much leaping about, crowd surfing, beer spilling and loud singing (and that was just me). It was a fantastic atmosphere. I thought the balcony would collapse with all those people jumping up and down!

I was on the barrier towards the right. Right in front of where Jim was for the much of the show. It wasn't me with the camera, theres no way I would waste a second doing anything but soaking it all up :)
And EvilGirl.. wow you are spot on for the encores. What I would give to go back and relive that show there at the end. When the guy came flying through on the crowdsurf and Jim got right down in his face with that big smile of his.. I've never been so jealous of anyone. What an absolute blast of a time!
