Title: Jim James Solo
Post by: LosMaven on Jul 30, 2008, 12:43 PM
I'm heading up to Newport this weekend and have never seen Jim James do a solo show.  Anyone who has seen him solo, can you give me an idea of what kind of setlist I'm going to get.  I'd like to prep my iPod for my drive from NY to RI.

Thanks

Have you heard the Acoustic Citsuoca album? That's what you can expect, but with more current songs. His solo shows are awesome!

I wish I was going to Newport. Enjoy!
Check out this show from the archive. M Ward and Jim James did a solo act at St. David's Church in Austin Texas. The quality is amazing! The first half of the show is M Ward solo and the second half is JJ solo. He does some of the new songs acoustic as well as the old. Excellent stuff! You can download the show as mp3s and drag into itunes.

I agree with the Angry Ewok, Acoustic Citsuoca is a must as well.

Lately "Jim Solo" also means Snowy Bramble (aka Carl) is in the house.  Here is one of his most recent solo sets and a pretty good idea of what you'll get.  If your lucky, you might also get a Nashville to KY or a By My Car.

Acoustic Citsuoca is the full band, but I know what you mean.  It's a great representation of soft Jacket.
