next wekeend will my first time in Louisville. I'm staying at Springhill Suites Louisville Downtown. I'm looking for cool bars and restuarants in the general area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Looking for a bomb brunch/lunch place and somewhere to get a delicious dinner. Also looking for any must do activities for a 1st timer.
I can not wait for the show!
The Bristol would be your lunch/brunch place down on main, near the slugger museum. I'll think harder about the rest...
has anybody been to or heard of Toast on Market ?
Toast, is a great restaurant. Captain Quarters is a pretty fun dinner place. It's right on the river and has live music and cool bar atmosphere.
Some cool things to do in Louisville...
1. Drink Bourbon (you are in the bourbon capital of the world)!
2. Maybe check out the Louisville Slugger Museum.
3. 4th Street Live is downtown and is a pretty cool bar district.
4. You can always go check out Churchill Downs.
5. Drink more Bourbon.

Sorry but I disagree... this is not the place most Jacket fans would enjoy. Very fratty and has a real "drink til you fuck" environment.

Who say's that's not a MMJ environment? Maybe it's not YOUR environment...
I'm a die hard MMJ fan and so are you Kory - but i promise our idea's of a good time differ tremendously. I'm also a California boy - and we do things a little different on the coast. Not better. Not worse. But when I flew out for Bonnaroo, I had the best time parting in the south, you guys sure do know how to have fun.
With that being said - I don't like "drink until you fuck" environments either.
So what I'm trying to say is....nothing really.

It all depends on how drunk you are...
how's "fuck what you find"
also for the crowded factor... "butts to nuts"

Hey so its going to be my first time in louisville as well, my question, if I where MMJ where would I want to hang before and after the show. I have heard of fourth street, but I am looking for some place you can't find anywhere else. I know the MMJ guys like to hang out at dingy bars and sing all night long, or so it said in huge article in Paste (after their SXSW performance). Let me know people. Thanks
