If anyone is looking for something to do after the show in Louisville, my friend Mike is the new General Manager at Bearno's in the Highlands. He said he would offer all domestic draft for $1.50, BBC drafts for $3.00 and all "bombs" for $4.00, with ticket stub from the Waterfront Show! Obviously you won't have to give your ticket, just show it. But he's not advertising it, just more of a word of mouth type thing. He told me to post a message on the Forum, though because of all the people coming in from out of town.
It's a pretty cool place smack-dab on Bardstown Road in the middle of the Highlands and has a front patio with seating, an inside bar with table seating and a big, double-decker, fabulous beer garden with a bar out there, too! They have some of the best pizza I've ever eaten, and arguably the best in Louisville.
Y'all may not want to stay there all night, and that's fine, but he has offered a place to get started, and a place that can be a "home base" for Jacket fans. At least stop by.
You won't get much from this, but:

Bearno's on Bardstown is awesome!

lovedog, that sounds fab. and with a ringing endorsement from kory and 37 flood? damn! [smiley=beer.gif]
actually glad to read that there is so much room there.
This sounds cool. Would it be easy for an out of towner to drive from the venue to this location?

No problem at all. In fact, there will plenty of people going, so you can always follow along or hop in with someone.
Thanks, Kory for the notice!!!! Looks great!
I'll have to check with the other 2 guys I'm going with, but this looks great. We are getting a rental car so would it just be easier to park at Bearno's and take a cab to and from the show? Ya know, hit up the pre- and post- parties? What times do the bars close in Louisville, anyway?
4am
I think if you parked on Bardstown that'd be fine but it's really just a couple mile drive. If you were planning on drinking at the show and cabbin back down to Bardstown road, you would have a good 4 hrs left to party at numerous bars... from hipster to hippy.
4am?!?! Woohoo!
I barely made it to 1:30 in Manhattan after Radio City. The bars here in PA close up at 2.

Also, Mike ( the GM at Bearno's) said he will throw in a free order of bread sticks with ticket stub! :D
I want to go to Bearno's...,. :-[ Have a slice for me.
And if anyone is in the St. Matthews area after the show stop by 60 West...I'll be playing solo, 9-11p. Pretty cool place with a ginormous martini menu if you're into that and usually loaded with "honeys". http://www.60westbistro.com/
Bearno's is a cool place too, actually was the first place I ever played with a band in the 90's when it was Gilligans. I'll actually be playing a couple solo sets there in October.

I need to check out 60 west, I could go for a martini now and then...
I need to get out and see you play again too, solo or w/ band!
Yea, it's a pretty cool place, definitely some pretty people hanging out there!
The new record is finally nearing completion and I'm hoping for an early Nov. release but we've got a couple band shows scheduled in Sept. including a show at Stevie Ray's which should be fun. New stuff is really coming together and we're finalizing a deal with a record co. to help release it. Paul's artwork is really cool looking and I think we're going to use one of your photos on the inside.
Free food, cheap beer, and good pizza. I feel like I'm in college again!
Wait... I still am in college.
I think the excitement is getting to me :D

awesome! Great to hear Paul is getting it all wrapped up for you. I talked with him about it a few weeks ago but I haven't seen the cover since early this year with you were tossing around ideas...
