Title: Richmond gets punked for Chi-town
Post by: cbd on Oct 14, 2008, 11:43 AM
I started to worry when the original 10/10 on sale date was postponed .... and now it looks like shoe-horning in Chicago on 12/27-28 has lead them to cancel Richmond on 12/29

with a 1 yr old, THAT was going to be my New Years run for this year

oh well.......

I'm totally bummed as well... that would have been an amazing show, and such a sweet venue to see them.  I really hope they reschedule but don't really see it happening.  I imagine it was originally scheduled as a tune up for the NYE show.  Otherwise, MMJ seems to have outgrown this type of venue.   :'(  I understand the decision to reschedule over the RIC show since tickets had not yet gone on sale, but man I was looking forward to this so much.

On a lighter note, glad to hear that Jim is OK.

To be fair this venue was thrown it at the last minute and the Chicago shows were planned for months.I hope they reschedule sometime next year cause I was going to catch this one myself.

This thread isn't getting much action. I guess there aren't that many fans in Richmond  :-[ I hope they reschedule, but I don't think I see that happening.  Guess I'll try to hit one of the Chicago shows...

Grrrrrrrrr, I was going to try to do Richmond.  I might have to hit up Chicago instead.  Fingers crossed that we don't get cancellations for Chicago and NYE.

Exactly.  The Richmond tickets never even went on sale, right?  I got my Chicago tickets RIGHT when they went on sale, several months ago.  I waited so long and could practically taste it by the time the band was in Iowa City.  So Richmond really shouldn't feel too bad.

I understand the original frustration stated in this thread, it always sucks to get shafted for a larger market.  I hope they reschedule Richmond for ya.  Have a happy new year anyway.

I'll be at 12/27, my first MMJ show.
